Hey, I’m a jazz guitarist from Seattle, I’m trying to break out of my shell and start playing larger gigs other than weddings, birthdays, nursery homes for free, etc. would you have any decent advice on making it to the next area of playing?
Something modern music students are never really taught in school is how to get their first paid gigs. Professionals always emphasize the idea of networking but what if you just don’t know anybody. What other ways could you find work?
Playing October 3rd at De Fer coffee and tea in the strip district for a jam session 5:30-8:30, also playing October 4th 4pm-9pm at Field Day in Lawrenceville!
LOL didn't see any of this coming!!! (I would've reacted much the same if I was in-person gigging XD - thanks for a much-needed laugh mate. Have a great rest of the weekend Frankie. PS: I've had something like this happen before when I was a kid not too long ago
I have a Shure SM98, it’s about 12 years old, never really liked it. A friend let me use his NU-X on a gig, going to purchase one. Best wireless I ever used, sounds great and no wire to get tangled up on coming off the horn.
