Hi! My name is Ben Friedman! I work as a freelance film critic for such publications including Highbrow Magazine! Welcome to my channel where I discuss all things movies and filmmaking! Thanks for stopping by!
This review proves the age-old adage that critics gone critique, but the viewers will keep on watching and enjoying movies out of the view of "critics" like this. Also, this whole review was a very Hollywood take on what is essentially an arthouse flick and should be viewed as such. I'm sure you guys would say that Mon Oncle is also uninteresting. This "review" was reading too much into some sort of gender politics in the film and immediately shows a "problematic" bias.
Woody is a genius and a good person, he was absolved of all allegations and never convicted of any crime. You don't have to believe me, you can believe the justice system that did a thorough investigation on him and the lie detector test he took. It's apalling to me that he has been informally convicted by public opinion, which gave him Oscars quite recently but completely changed their opinion during metoo. Pathetic and spineless.
I'm shutting you off as you have nothing of value to add to my thoughts. Your point is to inspire thoughts but all I want to do is shut you out from your very inspiring thoughts
So you did a great job with the review! I told some of the scenes with my dad what happens in this movie and he thought it sounded kind of creepy! I saw this movie as well! Going into this blindly having knowing nothing about this movie! I was thinking of this idea for an episode where the main character’s dog gets stolen by two cult leaders who are naked and the cults supports a tree! Also I wanna name the episode “the house of the cult” You can guess what’s that’s a reference to! Also after the main character kills the man cult leader the woman cult leader eats his heart and turns into a creepy angel to kill our main character!
I’ve heard a lot about it, but haven’t seen it. I actually have a video coming out in August about all the movies that I believe are “In contention/getting FYC campaigns.” I’ll be posting that video probably middle of August, but Emilia Perez is high on that list!
Honestly, anytime he acts he should probably be up for an award! Thanks for watching my video! Really means a lot! And I hope if you haven’t done so, that you subscribe and help me grow my channel to 1000 subscribers! :)
@@IphegeniaRose Yay! Thank you for your support! Trying to get more Oscar videos up sometime this month. This week I’ve got reviews of Skywalkers A Love Story, Trap, and The People’s Joker scheduled!
Butler is a GREAT Call and honestly the only reason I didn’t mention him is because I tried to do one performance from a movie so as to talk about 10 different movies. Personally on my list I believe Butler for Dune 2, Maika for Longlegs, Dunst for Civil War, Arjona for Hit Man, and Qualley for Kinds of Kindness are all performance worthy of highest praise! Thanks for watching and if you haven’t already I hope you consider subscribing to my channel!
i went to my local amc got wolverine popcorn bucket and the wolverine drink cup.the lady gave me a deadpool topper it said buy me.i liked the movie.let us know if u get the babypool bucket
Good thoughts on this.... but just FYI you can tell that you watched this before you filmed the "reaction" to it. If you were watching for the first time, you wouldn't be talking through the whole thing you'd want to take it all in. You also said "listen to him sing here" before he even started singing. It's fine if you just wanted to give us your thoughts, that is interesting too... but probably shouldn't frame it as a reaction video if you're not actually reacting to it for the first time.
I haven't seen the movie but goodness it'd be so appropriate if Deadpool mentioned the bucket in the film. Something like "Gosh Wolvie I just... wanna reach in your mouth and grab a handful of popcorn"
Awww too bad! I get that it’s cheesy, but I think it’s a fun way to get people talking about the movie, and also helps get theaters some money that they desperately are in need of! Thanks for watching and I hope you consider subscribing for more! Deadpool and Wolverine review dropping Sunday 7am pst!
@BenTitoFriedman just came back from the Movies.. man, that was something refreshing funny, and well, we all needed this. Oh, by the way, I still couldn't get any special popcorn boxes as they had run out, just great. Oh I'm subbing right now.
@@RickSuazThank you for subscribing :) I actually just finished editing my review for Deadpool and Wolverine. It will be dropping on my channel Sunday 7am!
Thanks! Grabbed another bucket yesterday which I’ll show in my review dropping Sunday! If you haven’t yet, please consider subscribing so I can justify the cost of this pricy video 🤘
To much wokeness and proud. As resault of it it is the weakest season for me! We dont need that woke and proud shit. Its Part of some ppl. Who can not accept that they normal human Brings with same right that others.
I followed the stories just fine. The writing was solid. The acting was great. The pace was fantastic. All 3 hours flew by. In fact, i hope theres a longer directors cut to get more of that authentic feeling.
I follow American politics but being from the UK have no political axe to grind. I didn't like this season simply because the writing was poor. The Sam 'revelation' was so obvious that I hoped the twist would be that he actually was real. That was my suspicion as it would have been very clever and the writing has been clever previously. Instead to my disappointment I learned it was meant to be unexpected, with Fight Club style flashbacks during the reveal. Also the gags have become eye rolling and lame. I'm thinking of my stony faced response to all the 'hilarious' jokes in the barn during the sheep shenanigans. 'This man is in no condition to f*ck a sheep!' Wut? Does Frenchie suddenly have the IQ of a boiled potato? None of that was funny. Happily some of this season was hilarious (Deep wrongly assuming Noir had been lobotomizing Sage had me in stitches) but a lot of the humour was just dumb. With some shows, like Veep and Sherlock, they reach a point where they become a caricature of themselves and overdo what they think everyone loves about the show, to it's detriment. At points in the past there have been sickening scenes which have given the show a real edge. This season, in episode six particularly, it was just one vomit inducing scene after another (drugs up the ass, farting in a cake etc etc) until it became stale and just unpleasant to watch. Also there used to be clever references, satarising society with a sly wink. That subtlety was gone with ham fisted references to Jewish space lasers etc to clumsily hammer home who the characters are meant to represent. I was half expecting Homelander to start sporting a dodgy comb over. The story is still strong, and the finale was good, but this s definitely the worst season so far. I hope five sees a teturn to form.
A few things: Can’t argue with the Sam aspect. It worked for me and I thought it was clever, but to each their own. Again, humor is personal taste, I personally thought the sheep joke was incredibly funny. Same with the shock value stuff in episode 6. That episode worked for me. And finally the last point, about subtlety. Here is what I will say. When the artwork that you are satirizing is not subtle then it feels ok to hit those level of extremes. The Jewish space laser line is based on a reality that some people in America seem to think is actually real. Sometimes the best way to address something is address it head on.
14:10 Many online talk about mental health but very often, quickly dismiss it. They've ignored the themes of trauma exploration and resilience through it
I wish ppl understood that the storyline is going somewhere and not every episode is a complete ending to the season. The story hasn't ended, there's 1 more chapter
I am sick of seeing Trump allegories everywhere. They are the fart jokes of storytelling; it's overdone, everything that could be done with them has been done, and the same sh!t's just on repeat 24/7.
Watching Trump obsessed fans only realise homelander and his fanatics are Trump and his devoted followers is a testament to their lead poisoning and horrific media literacy
