This is exactly what we have going on. This video is easy to follow and straight forward! I really appreciate it! Question, what is the best way to cap the inlet line? We don't use the back toilet. Thank you
@LTVoyager

I find it easier to connect the supply line before putting the toilet back on the flange.

Why is the neutral wired along with the ground?
@TimsWorkshopTJY
@TimsWorkshopTJY 6 дней назад
The fridge lock is a great idea but drilling into that area there are some models with heating tubes for drying upper freezer condensation. If you hit the line will loose all the fluid

I'm curious abt the long-term results of this install since it was done over 3yrs ago. These type of splits are made for homes where they're not subjected to bumps and shox of driving on the road.

Just replaced mine. The original broke from the bottom. Replaced following your instructions and the new one leaked from the top. Ordered a replacement hoping it's not defective as well. If you pressed down fast to flush or released fast, everything looked like it was working fine. No leaks seen anywhere. But when I pushed it halfway to fill the bowl with water, it would leak. I added a shutoff valve just like you. Ours broke when we arrived at the campground recently and like you said, we were totally down for water since we couldn't shut off the toilet line. Lucky for us, the campground owner made us a temporary line plug out of spare parts he had. He just asked that I return it before leaving. I bought it from him instead. My spare parts bin is growing. Ha! Thanks for the video Sir...great job.

Just the video I was looking for, thank you! Very seriously considering this same structure. I have the same height RV (13'6'") - do you feel like you could have gone with a 13' leg height? If you were to park the RV as close as possible to the left wall with the slide out open (closer than yours is in this video), do you think your RV would still clear the roof if you had gone with 13' legs? If so, by how many inches do you think? Thanks for your time - subscribed!
@RVLivingYet
@RVLivingYet 29 дней назад
We can almost stand on the roof with this unit (probably 4' clearance from the roof) , if I did it again I would go 12' side walls and still have plenty of room.

first. NO car or mini van should be allowed to tow anything larger than a tiny rototiller sized trailer. second. NO one can tow ANY trailer without a rider on the dl stating they went through three weeks training and two weeks book work. and have had there class C dl for a min or three years, before taking said class. third. nothing less than a 3/4 ton truck can tow anything larger than that rototiller trailer. a class C dl can not drive anything larger than a one ton “pick up truck” and NO rental box trucks. of any size. No transporting human cargo. that would require a new class dl the “D” class to drive box trucks no trailer up to 5 ton. trailer requires a rider, on the dl. then class A and above with riders. and class B for any van or bus transporting people.

I purchased an electric pressure washer and the same hose you use to run up the drain to pressure clean the tanks. My black tank and gray tank share a main drain. I can get the hose to go into the black tank but when I close the black tank off I am not able to get the hose to go into the gray tank. I twist the hose and still it still won't enter. Do you have any suggestions how to get the hose to enter the gray tank?

Best practice would be to wiggle the stranded wire as you tighten and to use a torque screwdriver to tighten to the correct torque. Some anti-oxidation compound would be helpful also.

Nice video. I have the same RV as you and am in the process of replacing the original Dometic with a residential frog. I got mine ar Home Depot too, not the same brand but the same 10.1 cubic feet. The one thing I just finished up doing is rebuilding the floor the frig sits on. Mine wasn't that solid so I pulled the plywood out and installed legs at the corners and sides along with a 4x4 center support. It is solid now. How did you wire your 110 line to the inverter? Did you disconnect the original wire at the fuse panel and wire it to the inverter or did you run an all new line from the inverter to the plug behind the rig? Also what size inverter did you use? I'm looking at a pure sine wave 2000 watts. I have two lead acid batteries. We very seldom boondock so I think it will work for now. Time will tell.
