Great! Holy smokes! The topit pattern was on my wishlist, still is cause no way I’m opening this gem! This is the ABSOLUTE best contest I’ve won! Sent you an email! Smilesotheylikeyou
Wow Michael Ammar callout! Holy crap! Haven’t been this stoked since I picked up his cup and balls videos! I’ve been wanting his easy to master card miracles holy cow! This is one if not the best contest I’ve won! Writing ya now! Smilesotheylikeyou
Awesome video Mr. Stone. So cool to still see you upload consistently, I just watched your Jay Sankey Mona Lisa prediction review from 9 years ago. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! It's a little slow going at the moment. I'm still catching up on grading homework. After that, this weekend should be a filming day. Cross your fingers. :0]
@@StoneColdMagic I was just watching Halloween magic reviews. I've been looking for more to add to my collection. Halloween is my favorite and Halloween magic can be done year round which makes it that much cooler. I see Jeff stone dead ringer and I'm like no way its the same Mr. Jeff Stone and it is! Where should I purchase your trick from?
I bought this for less than half price in perfect used condition on ebay and while I think the presentation is 5 star the backstory is a bit too long and I worry about being called out on the tricks as they don't really have enough misdirection on what the method might be. I really like the leather pouch so am keeping it but am starting to wonder if the props could be useful for a better trick...?
When I was doing these for my daughter, I was able to easily distract her for half of a second and switch it out real quick. In a "real" performance, it would be a little trickier, but as you pointed out, not for beginners, and the instructions don't even work for non-beginners.
Yep. One of my favorites it to grab any "three" small objects and do the classic "two in the hand, one in the pocket." Impromptu props, and finger palm.
For sure. In fact, that's pretty much what I did with the turtle I bought from Amazon. However, I can see advantages of using the animal itself instead of the TT, especially if you're in a venue where you don't have to hand it out right away. I can see myself, as a running gag throughout a set, "finding" a silk and turning it into an animal. Then setting it on my table, or a little stand. Then later, another, and another. At the end of the show, the stand switches all of them for the examinable ones so that they could be left on the table for people to look at if they wanted.
Pasted below. Keep in mind, however, they weren't chosen for their specific jokes. They were chosen at random by an algorithm I wrote. :0] @keithwolfe-festivalandstreet: Michael Ammar's Chop routine is so rigid not even Chuck Norris could follow it! @zitozito716: Michal Ammar culls a card above the deck.
I have a hard time finding a way to present puzzles. It just doesn't match the rest of what I do. Some day I hope to dig deep and have a great presentation for one, but I don't think this is the one.
Same. Most of the time I either just have the puzzles as a puzzle in a non-magical sense, or I teach the secret to the puzzle and use it as a giveaway. This (Spring) is one, however, that I do not teach. It's too good. :0]
Thank you all for the entries. The contest is officially over. The announcement of the winners will be later this week. Thanks again for all the awesome entries!
Wow! Thank you so much. I'm surprised that my limerick actually won. The other two were really really good and before you announced it, I was thinking the winner was #3. Thanks for the very generous giveaway!
Amazing! Thank you so much. The very least I can do to express my thanks is to fix the last line rhythm: "The Regal Stone helped him be more dramatic." As far as voting, my UNbiased vote goes to #1 also.
A few people know Prince’s song When Doves Cry is about him and Vanity 6 member Susan Moonsie. Fewer people know Prince’s song When Doves Crap is about Johnny Thompson.
Glad you mentioned B’wave in addition to the Princess effect. The real value for a beginner would be both the gaffs and the notion that they could embellish on, or create another effect with them. That’s one of the real joys of practicing magic.
The real joy in practicing magic is when the tri-fold mirror looks back at you in your empty soul-less basement bedroom and winks while saying, without speaking, you've finally mastered the Hermann Pass.

Conjoined twins are the result of Michael Ammar's first version of Anniversary Waltz. Andy from The Jerx actually loves Joshua Jay, he just picks on him because he is afraid to pick on Michael Ammar.
I can't help but feel that this, and other releases by Apprentice Magic, represent a lost opportunity. It's wrong not to have included a couple of well thought out presentations that teach at least some basic concepts of showmanship, beginners are owed more help than this.
In a way, this one doesn't seem to fit with the other products in the line. The others I've seen are magic kit-type re-releases of gimmicks, but with video instructions instead of terrible small print stuff like we had back in the day. For this one, it's just cards, of worse than normal quality., and this is the type of trick that really can be explained in a paragraph of text. Also, there are so many great updates to this trick too, including lots of interesting stories and presentations. Mentalists have a field day with this. For methods, Ellis Stanyon's Best Card Tricks by Fulves has several, and it's a $10 Dover book. If you want a video, The Limited Edition Deluxe by Gordon Bean & Larry Jennings is probably more than most people would need, and it's $20 including the cards it looks like. Anyway it's done all over, and done better, for only slightly more money. Weird. Thanks for the review!
Agreed. I think they went with the traditional version because it doesn't require any permission since it's public domain. It's the kind of thing, however, that has been in past magic kits for sure.
Javier is great, but I get the feeling they are working him super hard over there. Sometimes I get a "10 products a day for the rest of the year" type vibe. I hope I'm wrong.
Definitely. I know that in a couple of video I may have sounded like I was down on Javier. I hope it's not coming across that way. I get the same feeling you mentioned. They seem to be throwing a lot of stuff his way with minimal time to practice. He's kind of the Oz Pearlman of Murphy's Magic. :0]
Thank you all who submitted a limerick, and thank you all who enjoyed the show! The contest is closed, and the winner will be announced in the next couple of days.
