Great recipes for your NuWave Oven, Power Air Fryer Oven and other non-conventional ovens. You can find more recipes on the blog: superwaveovenrecipes.com/
Do you read the manuals for these ovens or do you just kind of figure things out on your own? There could be a page in the manual that tells you how to switch between Fahrenheit in Celsius. I bought one of the gourmia toaster oven air fryers in the last page in the manual told me if I wanted to switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius to press and hold the keep warm button. I imagine these products are typically set at the factory for the temperature scale the intended Market uses but maybe occasionally one shows up accidentally set Celsius. There could be a procedure for changing that for this model too.
I fully read the manual way before the review. I do a *lot* of prep before the camera comes on. When I say I know no way, it is because they never offer a way. And, it varies. Some cookers have a way to switch it, others don't. You probably can find a review for your Gourmia on my channel here. And, I likely tell you how to switch on that one.
@@WaveOvenRecipes Awesome. I actually did find a mistake in my manual for the bagel setting which said there was a preheat which seemed odd to me since it's just a toast setting with only the top burners on. When I press start after selecting Bagel it started counting down immediately like any other toaster.
I demonstrate as an example and cook to my preference in my chosen manner. You use your own method. But, if my methods are not your linking. RU-vid has no shortage of options for you. I thank God through my Lord Jesus Christ, we are not all the same. So, you have a different preference, go find yours, and goodbye.
I think that was a good call using baking pan because in addition to being able to support the weight it can catch anything that drips which can happen with a fruit pie like this. I have yet to try baking pie in a countertop Appliance but in theory a pie crust should have enough fat in it on its own or not stick to a pie plate.
Sadly with this cooker, temperature adjustment is not an option. I have demonstrated a better way to bake in basket style air fryers. However, I wanted to demonstrate how it goes if you don't use this method I actually prefer: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iF8XoeaKaok.html
Hey genius: 1) take the pan out, put all ingredients in then put it in the oven; 2) Teflon is TOXIC, stop scratching the surface of your pan. This is the second of this guy’s videos I’ve tried to watch…don’t waste your time, he’s not too smart.
Nobody uses teflon after the scandal. But, I am well aware of documentaries like The Devil We Know. And, have covered that these coatings are a concern. All the same, I am sure I could examine your life and find things you are doing that are not good for you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y-hW0Z6hPWA.html
@@WaveOvenRecipes Great review! I watched your video after I bought it at Costco but before I opened it up in case it was a bad review. Thanks for a through review. Laminated guide was exciting to find.
Remember, temperature adjustment is not an option 🙂.
Im shopping air fryers and since youve used this one and the previous model, is there a major difference between how well they work? Trying to decide if the higher price tag would be justified and your opinion would be appreciated, Thanks
Thank you for your videos. You were instrumental in helping me purchase my previous nuwave unit. NuWave now has a Pro-Smart Oven with air fryer functionality. Do you have plans to review that unit?
I understand. I really wasn't concerned about the smart portion. More the thrid heat source in the back and ability to set thow much heat comes from each. I am not sure if any other cooker does that. But I didn't know about the connected cookers though so I respect that (and will look it up myself as well). Anyway thank you for your videos still.
I think they changed the instructions for pizza on the newer ovens. On my newer six-slice model which is the smaller version of the Excel model xl model, they tell you to bake the pizza on the wire rack and just put the baking cray under it as a drip tray. There are still mistakes and even that manual period. The manual says that the bagel setting preheats the timer started counting down right away.
I have shown you what it can do. Now, you have to decide what it is worth to you. Where on earth are you having to pay 230? I take it you are not in the USA? And if that is true. You have to decide if it is worth the price for your location.
@@WaveOvenRecipes yes I noticed that your unit drawer closes easily. I might end up exchanging it at Costco. Hopefully it’s just my unit. Thanks for your response and 30 day reference link 😊 Regarding the condensation, I lay it on its side after washing and it seems to help it dry quickly.
Letting you see how it goes. But, I have a method to avoid that. Which I have demonstrated: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iF8XoeaKaok.html
Like the NuWave Oven, and the Super Wave Oven before it. You can see my chat about them here: NuWave Oven Review, Over 4 Years Later - RU-vid ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mU_3lDiLfDI.html
I would think the beeps staying on for a while is more of a safety feature. On old full size ovens with built-in timers that was kind of a normal thing to have just a buzzer go on and not shut off till you came to the oven to shut it off. Although I think those it would still stop eventually because those timers were just wind up timers Marion that activated some electromechanical device.
@@WaveOvenRecipes too bad there wasn't a way to set it to your preference to stop beeping after a few seconds maybe with a few choices of how long it stays on.
I have the IKEA induction cooktop for around 5 years now and its been a life saver. I live with other people who are always using the kitchen. Being able to cook in my room with my Ninja xl Air Fry oven has been great.
My coworker said hes not using no microwave in the breakroom lol. so he decided to order this and i might follow his food step and buy one after this review thank you
You're welcome. Your coworker is a wise man. I stopped using micro-everything years ago. Cooking Myths and Health Tips: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y-hW0Z6hPWA.html
Lol I just pulled from the plug. I was in a housefire before I have my ex-girlfriend‘s house and electricity and electronics freak me out a little bit. I’m not taking no chances lol PS I did like six adults and kids infants. I pray to God I never go through something like that again.
That is always an option, and for your present concerns I am not surprised you did. But, next time you spend time in the kitchen for a while. You can leave it plugged in for a while, just to see if it turns off. And, how long it takes. So, in case you forget, you won't worry much, 🙂 .
I bought mine used a couple months ago and it also has that high pitched constant sound. I only plug it in when I use it. I'm wondering if mine is broken though, I accidentally knocked it off the counter before I used it for the first time. I don't hear any noises when it's cooking, don't see evidence of fan blowing when in air fry or fan modes. Should I hear or see evidence of a fan blowing when on air fry or fan modes? For instance I figured out how to cook my favorite Freschetta pizza without burning edges or the middle being raw, have aluminum foil just barely over the entire perimeter/edge of crust- which that foil edge moves in the wind from my ceiling fan but no movement in the oven when cooking 🤷🏻♀️ Not sure how to tell if my fans are working or not?
I noticed air fry mode takes 3-4x longer to cook something when set per pkg instructions vs the time the package air fry directions say it should cook!
See my 30 day review. I mention anything I noticed. Anything I didn't have issues with is not mentioned. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NEnw5pd1000.html If you have smell issues, see my tips for that in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eHkCuB2VjcM.html
Although I cannot speak to luggage, you have to consider the measurements and your luggage capacity. I am surprised Ninja did not release a carry case for all of this. I mean, carrying glassware is tricky. A cushioned carry case would help. Far as my travel, I will just say I stopped flying once it became a hassle for me. So, I showed what I use when traveling, but I am on the road. When driving, I have zero "restrictions", among other concerns.
