Dr Scott Summers is a Lecturer in Business Law, and a faculty member of the Centre for Competition Policy, at the UEA Norwich Business School, where he is the module organiser for the following modules: (i) Business and Company Law; (ii) Practical Law for Managers; and (iii) Marketing: Social Responsibility and the Law.
Scott also sits on - and provides guidance and advice to - the UK Data Archive's Information Security Management Group (ISMG), around data protection and other key legislation impacting on the Archive's operations. In addition to these roles, Scott is also helping to advise Studious Digital Education around data protection considerations for their work.
Scott was formerly a Senior Research Data Services Officer at the UK Data Service where he advised researchers on legal and ethical considerations around depositing and sharing their research data. In this role, he specialised in providing online and face-to-face training to academics and students.

Hi Emmanuel, yes, so what I do is tick the share audio box and then I turn off my microphone (from the bottom of the screen), so that the microphone does not pick up audio from the video, and then after the video has finished playing I reactivate the microphone. I hope this helps! Scott
How can we edit a text by keyboard after posting it ? Or can we delete a specific word maybe if the teacher misspelled it instead of deleting everything on the board?
Hi Menna, good question! Yes you can, first you need to select the 'select' tool (the arrow at the top of the screen) and double click on the text, this will enable you to edit the text. I hope this helps.
I am struggling for days trying to find a way to record a dvd to a Bb Collab session that i play on my computer but each time there is no sound and yes i have ticked the box but each way i try i am unable to get sound. thanks
Hi Alexandra, If you wish to share a video (such as a DVD) you would need to open the DVD/video file in a chrome tab first. Blackboard cannot share the audio from other sources (e.g. a video player window) unless it is opened in a Chrome tab. I hope this helps. Scott

Hi Simone, thanks for your question. If you choose the legislation search option, you can then select to add information in the ‘Free Text’ area, such as perhaps the area of law. Alongside this you can also click the ‘more options’ choice, which will open up additional search options. Such as the ‘Subject/Keyword’ and the ‘Statutory Definition’ field, where you can use these to help you to search for an Act that you do not know the specific title of it. I hope this helps.
