Study is Core .... social life is life long .... health is gym .... you will learn as time goes by ..... Your channel is One of your social life experiences !!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You have already studied there for a year, what are your impressions? Is it difficult to study? If you are on a grant, how much do you receive as a stipend?
10:35 The feeling that I am falling behind everyone pushed me through DSE, it's the ultimate motivation catalyst. 10:45 My opponents also got into HKUST the same way I did, yet only top 20% of us can get into A-range.
That's a good way of putting it, healthy competition is quite important for growth, so long as it doesn't induce distress. As for the 20% thing, it's just how a lot of universities operate; there has to be some sort of grade distribution and it just so happens that UST's A-range quota is a bit lower, but it also makes it more valuable 😁
@@JamAteJamthe enrollment period is fast approaching. Do you or your friends have an common core recommendations? I’m freshman and it’d really help a lot. Thank you
OH!!! WOW I think you are so great in sharing your experience in the year 1 of hkust,
Hey👋. I hope you are doing well. I am an incoming freshman. I have been assigned to hall 7🎉. It is 120R. Could you let me know if it has oceanview or not, please?
Hey James appreciate your videos, loved the video. I too would love to do a dual degree programme. My questions are: How do you meet people? Did you go to university knowing no one? Are foreigners treated fairly and is it ok to know only english?
Hi there! Thanks for the comment. Yes I came to HKUST not knowing a single person. Although it may be a little more difficult to connect with locals if you only speak english, I believe overall it is still quite easy to make new friends as long as you are open to it :)
Hi James, what were the 3 preferences when you chooses the halls? Maybe I can get lucky like you too 😢Oh and also are you the ONLY one who gets to have a double to yourself? Thank you.
