Hi, I'm The Analytical Gamer. I make reviews of PC games, gaming tips and tricks videos and from time to time long form analysis/critique/years later type videos of games that I have spent hundreds of hours playing.
One helpful tip I would give is that you can save empty boxes, either on the ground, or on the storage racks. However, if you have stockers, you will have to put them on the storage racks, and set them to NOT use empty shelves, otherwise they will take them and throw them in the trash. The reason I keep empty boxes is because sometimes I like to move products around, or decrease the amount of items on a shelf, depending on how much product I have vs how expanded my store is at the moment, and an empty box ensures I can always move product. I usually keep an empty storage rack for holding the empty boxes, and I keep several of each size. Also, if you have a lot of empty storage racks, but you like to keep your storeroom racks in a nice neat order for doing your reordering, and you don't want to go mad trying to reorder your stock, you will want to keep your stockers set to not use empty shelves anyway. Otherwise, if you wind up with overstock on some items, they will begin putting them on random shelves, where you wind up possibly reordering things you don't need.
So far I'm surviving without having empty boxes saved for when I want to expand the store with more product/licenses. But having the empty boxes is indeed a strategy that makes things a lot easier.
It's best to go and ask in their discord. I played the game on a knockoff PS4 controller, and it worked fine because Steam automatically helped with compatibility. I have no idea if this will work for a wheel though. At the end, you can always buy it and refund it if it doesn't work for you.
Go into the management tab > Hire Worker and you can choose to stop them working by clicking on the slider under the restocker. This will get them to reset. Then just click the slider to start them working again. It's easier than having to move items around.
maybe i am missing something, but hear me out... ... if you make the same amount of money when overprincing items vs. princing them the market price... ... and that is because there are in total fewer sales when you overprice items... ... then you should be saving money by overpricing items, because you have to buy fewer items, right? like... let's say market price for an item is 0,75$. selling 15 items overpriced for 1,00$ each = 15$ total. selling 20 items at market price for 0,75$ each = 15$ total. ... by overpricing you have 5 items left in the shelf, that you dont have to restock. so you saved money.
At least when I played the game last time it was the other way around. Restockers first take the box at the back. That's why the Restocker Consolidator mod was so useful, since the mod is installed the restokers would combine/consolidate the boxes the best they could, leaving the full boxes at the front (so they are used last), and any partial boxes will end up at the back hence being used first. It does sound contra intuitive that the game works this way... but I guess that's why mods exist. You can read more details here: www.nexusmods.com/supermarketsimulator/mods/549
You likely have mod conflict. Some mods that have similar functions can lead to bugs/conflict when installed at the same time. Sometimes mod makers will mention that sometimes they won't, so it's always a good idea to install mods one by one and test to see which of them cause problems. And don't forget to update your mods, especially when the game itself is updated.
I started keeping note of total customers and simply rounding to the next 10 cent (ala 1.01 gets rounded to 1.1) and my customer amounts increased over the next couple days and since profit is gauranteed i targeted revenue with great foot traffic
Two possibilities: 1. Bug 2. The shelf is full. You have filled all the spots on the shelf while the restocker was stocking the shelves in the store, so now when he goes back, he can't put the box on the shelf.
I think i got the wrong supermarket sim because the actual like graphics and mechanics are the same but my supermarket has like 2 walls like RIGHT next to the doors basically surrounding it and i dont think upgrades get rid of it and there is 2 games on playstation that have almost the same name and i got the one without “3d”
I have no idea, since once I bothered to check the characters and switch from the default the others were already unlocked. Most likely it's based on your level. That said there are a few that are only unlocked if you get the supporter pack on steam, not sure if they will even show up in the menu before you get the pack. But the female character from this video is included in the base game.
regarding prices I use market price for items under 3$...for the rest I use market place price +0.10$..this way no customer complain about products being too expensive...I think for the products over 10$ we can use more the 0.10$ and you will not get any complains but I did not test it
Increasing everything by 10% of the dollar, (Example: Min. market Price is 11.59 I put "11.5 + 1.1 = $12.6) (Ignore cents) Decrease by 10c if cents is <60 (for below $3 dollar items) Decrease by 10c every 3 dollars. should average just under 7% pretty good money, averaging like 4-5 "found too expensive" customers so far.
You don't need to do that anymore. After the latest update, restockers now take the boxes from outside and place them in storage. You can also use a mod for simple scanning of the items so you don't need to open the PC and search for each item you need to stock, check my "top 10 mods" video about this.
imo a big way to maximize not just profits but save money in long run is for items below 10 bucks that have small unit sizes is to increase their price 25-50 cent above market. Things with large unit put prices below market by the same margin. While you will get more complaints, you will spend less money on shipping stuff like pasta flour potatoes coffee etc constantly having to buy more to restock them while increasing sales of items that have more items in the box like the oil tea milk juice etc
No idea, my "original" PS5 controller worked fine with it, but I don't remember if the support was by default or if Steam did its magic to make it compatible.
From what I have discovered, it is not so much as 20c or 30c over market price, it is percentages. An item's market value of 1.56 vs 3.56 are both under $5, but if you add 30c to each there is a big difference in complaints and sales. At 30c we have a 19.2% markup on one item and an 8.4% mark up on the other. I've discovered that, "market price," should read, "market minimum price." I've also discovered prices should be marked up at least 5% but less than 10% with little to no complaints. For those bad at math, there is an easy trick you can use... Take an item. Let's pretend the market value is $3.56, simply move the decimal one place FORWARD and you have 10%. In this case: 35.6c (Note: it is technically one place back for 10%, but this would give you .356 and making it more confusing for some people). Simply round off the number and add it to your price. Hence: 3.56 + 36 = $3.92. This would be your max price. To give you a better scale, round your 10% result to the nearest even number and cut it in 1/2. Thus, in our example, 36/2 = 18. This 18c would be roughly 5% of our market price on an item suggested at $3.56. But still, we are dealing with these goofy numbers. So let's just get rid of the pennies all together by rounding to the nearest dime. 3.56, rounds to 3.60. 10% = 36, round to 40, 5% = 18, round to 20. 3.60 + 20 = $3.80; 3.60 + 40 = $4.00. This means listing your $3.56 item for $3.80 - $4.00 should work out perfectly. Remember the closer to or over 10% is really pushing it. Ideally, just over 5% is perfect for every item. a $15 market value item? That is a .75c to $1.50 mark up. I'd price it at $16 - $16.25. Above 5%, but under 10% a $2.12 item? That is about a 10 - 21c mark up. I'd price it at $2.25 - $2.30. Well below 10%, but just above 5% Lastly, rounding to the nearest dime is ALWAYS a wise thing to do for 3 reasons: 1. Math is so much easier. This not only speeds up check-out times, it gets rid of counting those damned pennies! 2. Checks and balances. Be it you at the counter or a hired cashier, if you ever see a total - including daily total sales - not ending in a 0, something is wrong. Something, somewhere, has not been priced correctly. 3. Many people will round to a dollar or quarter, which is fine if that is what you want to do. But I have discovered the dime allows you to get more exact on your pricing. Yes you could go to the nickel, but I would much rather type in, "24.3" than "24.25."
For people who are dumb like me here's how you do it. I recommend just doing what the guy said in the video as this requires a bit of time thats just not worth it but if you want really good cash and have too much time on your hands, scroll down to the NOW and it shows. MP=Market Price Those numbers are 5 - 0 $ MP 5 - 10 $ MP 10+ 1$ above MP NOW how to do the math thingy stuff Market Price Round it $3.56 goes into 3.60 Now we ignore that last digit so ours would be 36 now that 36 is cents so it would be $0.36 Now we're going to round the 0.36 so it should be 0.4 now it would be $0.40 Now we're going to take 2 of the 0.40, save one for later. Divide the number by 2 so in our case it would be 0.40/2=0.20 Now we're going to go back and take the 3.60 and add our 2 new numbers 3.60+0.40=4.00 3.60+0.20=3.80 So we will price the item from 3.80 to 4.00 tip: try to keep closer to the 3.80 I would do 3.90 Now I'll do another example so theres no confusion 10.05 turns into 10.10 now goes to $1.01 round $1.00 1.00/2 0.50 10.05+1.00=11.05 10.05+0.50=10.55 so we got 10.55-11.05 I'd do 10.80 (which is the inbetween of 10.55-11.05) And if you have a number that doesn't have a inbetween just pick one of the 2 inbetweens I'll show, lets say we somehow got 10.50-11.05 that would be 10.77-10.78 you can do 10.77 or what I would do because I hate having to do pennies I would round it and that would be 10.8
Wow! @firecat3613 That was one Reddit comment on RU-vid! I have never ever read that elaborate comment on RU-vid ever. You won't believe I had to check which app I am on. I was so confused that when did I open Reddit (that could be because I am high and I read your comment with so much concentration that I forgot I was on RU-vid) Anyway, thank you much. That gave me a lot clearer picture and confidence to try this strategy. Long live buddy..lot of love from the Himalayas ❤
Breaks were pretty weak on all cars. I think this was improved with a recent patch, but don't quote me on that. As for the best in terms of overall handling, I enjoyed "the porsche" the most.
If you are at the level at which you can hire restockers, then I would say it's best to focus on expanding the storage as fast as possible. The storage is kind of useless before that point, so in the early levels, focus on expanding the store. You can check my tips and tricks video if you still haven't, it's quite useful especially for new players. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ke8wF7EHA98.html
@@JustCallMeMushroom Define different? There isn't an "optimal/best layout," but there are two rules you need to follow when placing the shelves, fridges, etc. 1. Leave enough space next to the checkout (where clients line up). 2. Leave enough space so every product is reachable in the store, in other words, don't place shelves that face each other too close. As for different and not necessary optimal, I can let my creativity go wild and make a few different layouts to give people some ideas and pack them in "Supermarket Simulator: 5 layouts" type video. I am not sure when this can happen, though. This Sunday, I will release my 40-50 mods and cheats video, and next week there are two new games I want to check and possibly review. But this could be a future video.
You can check my review for detailed info ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ppA5tcZGtfA.html BUT what I would recommend is pizza deliveries and taxi, then investing the cash in property so you can collect rent every day.

Hii I really like your videos, keep up the good work. there is two things I want to say: 1- why don't you use StoreDelivery mod? it allows you to instant storage to your purchased items 2- can I install the 10 mods without causing my game to get a lot of bugs? or some of it? I liked 3 of the 10 mods soo I want to add it to my game (I have 2 mods already) And thank you ^_^
Hi, thank you for your comment. As for the questions 1. I don't think I will be left with much to do if that action is automated too. I will probably automate things like that once the dev implements some of the new features, like the deliveries in the neighborhood. 2. I have been playing with those mods for like a week at this point, and the only bugs I encountered were those mentioned in the video, so nothing that major. So feel free to install them, just be sure to check the mod descriptions of the mods you plan to install and those you already have (to see if they mention anything about mod conflict).
Can't reach or can't find? I have never seen them say that they can't reach a product, but it probably means that you placed the shelves in such a way that there isn't enough space for them to go through to reach the item. If they say that they can't find it, then you just don't have quantities of it in the store.
No idea, I think it got 11 of them or something. I do know that once you unlock them, you get a special car. It might be a good idea to join the game discord. I'm there, and I know for a fact that there are people who have found all of the tapes, so go ask and let's hope someone is willing to make a screenshot of his map to help you out (since the found tapes are shown on the map)
