I’m sooo glad you made this video for us handbuilders. I tried one and it cracked. By the time I got it made the clay had set up too much! I love the wallpaper!!! My husband scored me a huge book of textured wall paper that’s paintable and I have used them for years! No one else will have those textures!!
"I have an issue buying glazes...".... I REALLY understand that statement... Its ridiculous how many glazes I have compared to the feeble amount of work I've created.
Hi, Sarah! Love your tutorial. So far, I have thrown my sippers, but recently, I thought I might like to handbuild them using a jumbo pool noodle. That's one of my next tuts. I like your tapered effect. Most of all, I like your texture and sprigs! Very nice! Good luck transporting them home! 🙏
Thanks! I’ve been thinking about trying out some sort of support for the inside but never get around to it! Yes, I need all the luck getting all my pieces home as greenware. I managed to get everything home safely last time so I’m hoping for the same this time. 😊
@@PerrinPottery Ya, a support is so helpful, heh? If I think of anything for a tapered sippy that accommodates the shrinkage, I will let you know. Happy Vacation!
Thank you for this "how to" video, perfect timing, just made my first straw tumbler but the bends creased, now I think I know how to fix that after watching your video. Thanks again!
Oh good! I think for me the key is working with it while the clay is still pretty wet. Hope it work out for you, I can wait to get these fired and glazed. 😊
The bears were just traced out onto craft foam. You could do the same by finding an image of a bear and tracing it onto paper then cutting it out then transfer it onto craft foam. Hope this helps a bit.
The mugs turned out so well. You are do blessed to have such beautiful background scenery. This video in the mountains and previous ones on a beautiful deck with pool in the background. Makes one fell like jumping in for a swim. I think your tutorial was excellent, everything was explained well. I could see and understand your direction and follow along easily.
@36:07 "and i believe this is frosted tope (topaz?).. no, i dont know.. i'm not gonna lie.. i dont know".. lol.. stacks of cool stuff tho.. thanks for the video :)
Not yet, I need to figure out that part. 🤪 I just like to make pretty things. Right now if someone sees something they love they just reach out and I send additional pictures, size, price, ect.
