All of your work is just so beautiful! I love how you remade your yarn bowl to a frog house, perfect! Oh gosh, your giant shell is absolutely amazing! The puddles make your shell look like nature created it. You are so creative!
Nice CHOSEN shirt! Beautiful pieces, again! Love the sandollar! Love the organicness of it! Cute frog house! Super nice sea dish. I love the engobes too! It's absolutely beautiful! You must have a big kiln!
Awe, thanks! I was blessed to find a Skutt 1027 on Facebook marketplace for a steal. Updated the elements and relays, now she’s working well! I appreciate your compliments. I’m still trying to find “my style”… really enjoying the journey!
Love your kiln opening. Difficult to choose fave combos but love your shell and hibiscus plates. Your final piece will look spectacular as a fruit bowl.❤
Thanks Nat! I DO love color, lol. The satin matte Seafoam is from Amaco. SM-24. I actually just got soft red and am looking forward to trying it out! That’s true about the shell bowl with the fruit. No one will know. 😅
Good Mornin Miss Sarah. My Name is KD and I just came across your video last night. First may I say you have EXCELLENT taste in TV Series/T-Shirts! Also, I love your results here, and I too love Kentucky Mudworks' clays and glazes! Thank you for taking the time and energy to share your projects and efforts and results with us. I too LOVE LOVE LOVE Aubrey Morel of Morel Designs!
Hey Sarah stunners again! I would guess power turquoise indigo float maybe? The satin mat seafoam mug is so pretty what brand is it please? Love the shell reminds me of yr platter. Ohhhh the flower my fav reactive red!! Soft red is stunning too if u haven’t tried it. I think u might like my beachie combo too. Oatmeal bottom celadon bloom top light flux where they meet. U have inspired me to try w river birch or winter wood on the bottom next time. That shell bowl is amazing! Once u have fruit in it u won’t see the pooling. So happy u joined our RU-vid family u have such similar loves to me in colours! Nat xx
I thought I responded but it’s not showing up. The satin matte is from Amaco! It’s a very pretty color and feels great. I’ve seen your beachy bowls and mugs, they are VERY pretty. I love all things Celadon Bloom!
Great kiln treasures they are all so pretty! I love the beachy stuff & shells especially 🐚 Just power turquoise over honey flux is what i would guess on that mug the hf makes the pt dark plus brings out that pink!
"I have an issue buying glazes...".... I REALLY understand that statement... Its ridiculous how many glazes I have compared to the feeble amount of work I've created.
Sblodges is that the technical term? Haha. I am loving your pottery!!!! So glad to have found you. I also do slip casting as well as handbuilding. It’s so nice to see someone else who does as well. Your glaze combos are just amazing. What cone do you fire to? I used the seashell fondant mold to make some things and you are so right the texture is soo deep!! I actually hand painted each seashell on one piece I did and I will not be doing that again. Although it turned out beautifully.
Yes, its definitely a technical term, in my mind at least. 😂 Whoa, I can’t imagine doing all those shells individually. I’ll bet it came out beautiful though. I fire to a cone 5.5 with a slow cool. It’s Camille Hoffmann schedule. Seems to help prevent pinholes.
Thanks! I found a plastic shell at HomeGoods in the clearance section. I figured I wasn’t out much if it didn’t work out. I rolled out some really moist clay and slumped it in. The tricky part was getting it to sit flat. Maybe I’ll try another one and record it. Thanks again!
Hi...just found your channel, and SO HAPPY i did! your glaze combos are great...but wait, that last piece - the huge "shell" is amazing/outstanding/insanely beautiful! Can I ask, did you hand build that one or was it a poured form? either way OMG its stunning! going to watch more of your videos now, but will hopefully maybe get an answer from you re: that last piece Thanks, you have a new friend in New Jersey!
Oh wow, thank you! So that she’ll was a plastic shell found at HomeGoods in the clearance section. I rolled out a flat slab, super moist clay so it just slumped into it. The tricky part was getting it to sit flat after I took it out, hence the shells and octopus leg to prop it up. 😂
