If you like Hip-Hop music (real Hip-Hop that uses samples, not all that stuff the kids are into) but don't think it should be taken too seriously then this is the place for you. Si Spex used to be in a production unit called The Creators but now operates as a lone soldier, sniffing out bargain bins for tasty sample morsels. He has been known to occasionally go undercover, morphing into alter ego Barry Beats (see Barry Beats´s Rhythm Roulette for evidence of this) Si believes in quality over quantity so would like to apologise for the lack of content available on this channel. Theres plenty of examples of Si Spex/The Creators work on the playlist though.
If you were to purchase Barry’s Ultimate Fakes and beats vol 1-4 then you could get close as it provides multiple one shots of each drum hit at different velocities. The packs are available on my bandcamp page. Just search sispexakabarrybeats on bandcamp.
@@Flux_One Thanks man. Yeah my friend Fanu who releases drum and bass on metal heads has used em a bunch. I do a big discount on my full discography but not just the packs i’m afraid. They are pretty cheap to be fair.
you inspire me alot barry, easily the best imitation mass appeal rhythm roulette out there and you give every producer on rhythm roulette a run for their money too spectacular
You did a great job with what you started with but even still, I just couldn't get with those sounds. Great techniques and very useful to learn from but some samples just don't work. Square peg/round hole.
that ableton pad slicer is sick as heck. i bought 2! stupid new mpcs and i dont like them. imma see if i can workaround implement midi chopping in bitwig.
