With its emphasis on hand-craftsmanship and commitment to quality over a storied 135 years and counting, Gretsch has pioneered new designs and manufacturing techniques, winning endorsements from some of the music industry’s most respected artists, including Chet Atkins, Eddie Cochran, Billy Duffy, Bono, Duane Eddy, George Harrison, Brian Setzer, Stephen Stills and Malcolm Young.
I have the orange one and it doesnt compare to my american pro ll or gibson less paul and i thought about selling it but it just looks so dam cool and the pickups sound so dam good i am trying to love this thing.
If Erik gets a 2 neck Gretsch, the band would definitely get some attention just for the creativity of that. I know it exists already, but using one on stage as the main instrument, would make people connect 2 neck guitars with loathe, which is super cool to think about. Anyway, love the band! They’re so good live as well.
LOVE Gretsch guitars and wanted one since I was about 12 years old and saw Stephen Stills with a white Falcon. FINALLY got the Falcon in 2012 as well as other Gretsch models. What great guitars!
It's a little frustrating that some colors are not available across the same guitar - for example between the 5622 with the V-stop and 5622T. If I want it in Midnight Sapphire I have to get the bigsby. Seems weird I cant get the 5622 in the same colors as the 5622t.
For what it's worth I would like to see more options available with the Filtertrons over the broadtrons even if it meant paying a bit more. They are just a much better sounding pickup.
I absolutley love your guitars but I do wish there was a full sized center block with a single cutaway. Personally I'd love one with the V-stoptail and a set of Filtertrons over the broadtrons. That's just me and my preferences, I'm probably weird.
People that have promoted Gretsch guitar the most. 1 Brian Setzer 2. Billy Duffy 3. Goethe Harrison 4. Stephen Stills 5. Richard Fortis . Who am I missing?
That's a bloody shoddy way to cut the access off when ready to be removed.....don't cut it off with the cutters facing down toward the head stock, once the string is cut you risk the cutters scratching into the finish on it!!!! geeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s all about the feel, I could listen to Malcolm play the same 5 chords all day long , I can manage about 5 mins of listen to Tim Henson play the guitar
I bought the Electromatic Pristine Limited Edition Centerblock in White Gold back in February. It's a great playing guitar and sounds wonderful. Hard to believe how a P90 can still keep the Gretsch vibe but they do it. I also have a white Rat Rod that has become my absolute go to guitar. but the Pristine gets is time in still.IF you haven't a Grestch, It's hard to go wrong and in most cases they inspire you like nothing else will. I LOVE GRETSCH!
I agree with Scott. Their music is timeless. As a guitar player, every day I pick up my guitar I always start by warming to a set of AC/DC songs to get the blood flowing. I usually play about 7 or 8 of them, then I am ready to go. 👍
