Life is a journey, come with us!!! We cant go back in time, but we can take lessons from the past and apply them to our future, our family's future and our groups(Modern Survivalism)Here you will see hydroponics, camping, shooting, gardening, how-to and DIY projects. We will cook some good food, preserve and put back what we grow. We also grow community! Preparedness is just what our grandparents and great grandparents called LIFE. We will explore primitive and modern survivalism. How did our grandparents survive the Great Depression.? We raise chickens and ducks both for meat and eggs! We grow vegetables in our garden and can the bounty. We will discuss herbal foraging and possible old fashioned remedies. We will explore hydroponics, indoor gardening and greenhouse, hoop hoop management. Regardless of what you see on the news I want you to be prepared and proactive in a SHTF situation. We will look at raising bees, rabbits and quail as we develop the infrastructure.
So true. I do the same thing. I always worry about identity theft and what if a 3 letter agency freezes your account. Can’t steal what they don’t know about
Great advice! My wife’s card was turned off because of fraudulent activity and she hasn’t gotten the new one yet. Yesterday I had a call about my card so it was turned off for a few hours. It was not a big deal but it it could have been
$150 on me, $100 secret stash in the truck, $1500 in the toy safe. Power goes out, cash still works. Must have small bills and change too, Just another prep.
It’s funny when the guy at their local hardware store ran my debit card and it didn’t go through. He told me don’t worry about it. Just bring it back to me tomorrow. I said I’ve got cash. I just had to get it out of my car. That is another perk of living in a small town.
I'm having a really hard time getting my almost 30yr old DIL to not throw away store bought canned food items when they have gone past their BBD, she argues with me that it is expired and rotten by those dates.😫 But then again she adores AOC & Bernie S.😫🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Show her this report from the official government that she loves. This is from the US department of agriculture. www.usda.gov/media/blog/2013/06/27/you-toss-food-wait-check-it-out
Last year, the things that I bought for three dollars or now around six dollars, that is a 100% return on my money. There’s no way you can get that kind of return legally.
I found that putting in angled shelves makes canned food rotation easier. We found ourselves, whether in a hurry, or at times getting lazy unfortunately, and just putting newer cans sometimes in the front. With angled shelves you dont have to move the front cans (the oldest) , you just put the newest in the back.
@@Mayhemcountryliving I just screwed a 3/4" thick X 2" tall piece of wood that I ripped down to the front leading edge of the shelf as a stop. My shelves are all wood though. But this has actually saved us from arguments (LOL) about who didnt rotate what properly. And I dont know if it makes a difference, but as the cans roll to the next position, I think it might help the ingredients inside stay mixed properly over the long term. Thanks for your channel, I pick up a lot of good ideas from you.
@tomreid5002 Tom that is a great idea. I hadn’t thought about using a strip of 2 x 2 or something like that and yes, I think you might be right. The fact that it actually rotates and rules the contents around. It definitely can’t hurt. Thank you for I really appreciate it, buddy.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THIS AUTHOR AND SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT HIS BOOKS. I LIKE YOUR INFORMATION ABOUT ERIC A. SHELMAN'S WORK AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO LISTENING.
He has some really good books that are out and he has done the narration for quite a few other books from really good authors, not just post apocalyptic stuff but some horror and also some short stories
The one I grew up in was so small we didnt have a sewage line or any police patrol plus there was a cattle guard to enter my grandfolks property. We had a mailman tho
It was actually sitting in my yard. I think it had gotten injured trying to get to my chickens, and I basically covered its head with a towel and used my welding gloves to pick it up.
I just saw a breeding pair yesterday, got some good photos. Very majestic birds. Ive lost half a dozen baby mallards over the last 2 weeks. I accept that its nature, it hurts but they feeding a baby themselves....
I understand completely. There is nothing like a bowl of homemade potato potato soup maybe with a little bit of cheddar cheese on top of it and some sour cream. Thanks for watching.
Lol, I’m sorry for that. They do the same thing to me too. I actually have to subscribe to him about once a month because they keep bumping me off of his feed
