Great video. I'll never sell my 2008. I'm retired, don't drive every day, 119000 miles, and as winter approaches- time for 4 new all-terrain tires. Side issues: 12V connection needs replacing, window seals need replacing, and upgrades are planned: upgrade audio system to Apple play unit, front and rear cameras to install, have the body ceramic coated, and the undercarriage cleaned and anti-rust applied.
Reminds me of the stream crossing I did in Colorado a couple years ago. More of a drive in a stream bed for 60 or 70 meters, then the dirt road continued.
How exactly do the string light help you sleep? I’ve slept in the back of mine plenty of times in a sleeping bag. I’ve also got a lit awning that hooks to the side of the FJ off of the roof rack, then a room that attaches to it that drops down and basically becomes like a cabin that is custom fitted to go on the side of an FJ so if you open the passenger door up it lines up exactly with the front wall of the tent/cabin/room so you can access the interior of the vehicle. I’ve then got a separate pop up type tent that I have a portable toilet and shower to go in. This is my overnight surf fishing rig.

Awesome video! My question to you is even though these are decent if someone said you can just have a set of tires no strings attached, are you taking the free KO2 or free Xtrail?
I think it depends on the vehicle. When I did mine with the extractor i pulled the drain plug and there was NOTHING left in. But I have seen other people use them and it left a small amount of oil in there. My oil filter is also on top of the engine so this makes the whole process very easy for me. No going under the car at all.
I'm having a horrible, almost metal on metal rubbing sound at the rear of my 07 FJ. I think it's the body mount on the side of the frame by the rear bumper. Everything else seems to be in good shape, and yes, I hate the body lean to the driver side. People always ask me if I was in an accident.
Bought my Silver C package FJ brand new in 2007 and the dealer just offered me $6000 less than I paid for it. I love my FJ and I am never selling it. It’ll become a yard ornament when I can no longer repair it because there are no longer replacement parts., 135,000km on mine.
