After restarting the server I found that own cloud failed to start. Using the command docker run --name oc-eval -d -e "OWNCLOUD_DOMAIN=localhost:8080" -p 8080:8080 --restart unless-stopped -v E:\owncloud:/mnt/data owncloud/server It worked after restarts
in the step "configure port forwarding" it showed me " the password must be between 6 and 12 caracter" while my username is admin and my password is admin when I change the password so that it contains between 6 and 12 character it shows me that the password is incorrect please help me
If the error is happening in pc which is member of the domain ensure the dns ip the active directory. If the ip is correct then only and best option is to remove from the domain and add the pc again back to domain
To anyone dealing with the trusted domain issue: if you look in your config directory (under /mnt/data/config for me) in the container files, you will see a config file and a config_overwrite file. Basically, the overwrite file is setting the trusted domain string to empty because there are two environment variables that are not set. These environment variables are ‘OWNCLOUD_TRUSTED_DOMAINS’ and 'OWNCLOUD_DOMAIN'. How to fix: option 1: set the environment variable to the desired trusted domains in the apache environment file or you can also set it directly in the docker compose file. option 2: delete overwrite file Hopefully this saves some time understanding the issue for people. Sorry if this is not 100% accurate I am new to this. More information about this issue available on the owncloud forum by the user pironic.
How to replace "localhost" with an IP address to access by other user in LAN network/office environment? I tried replacing "localhost" with few of different IP addresses and it didn't work. Now it is accessible to my PC only, I can't open on another PC within same network. Please suggest.

You said infra structure master should not be the domain controller which has a global catalog feature enabled. Why is that? And every domain controller can be selected as global catalog and global catalog stores all the information of the active directory. So why do we need infra structure master role then? Cant we just enable global catalog on every domain controller we deploy?

hi Sir, if all my shared folder resources and all GPO's are located in PDC1. and if I seize fsmo in ADC, how the user can access the shared resources with the applied GPO's. Is I need to change the DNS IP address at user end..??
Small correction we can still access the resources only when required tasks of FSMO is needed that time we will face issues like password changes time changes new RID pool etc., until that you don’t see any error
