Hi...I just purchased the 23 model but waiting for delivery on Friday but I seem to fail to notice if they also have the big kickstand to keep it nice and steady. .does yours have one or two...even my wifes gio falcon has the two kickstands Thx
some people need to hear noise when im backing up yes so add a longer wire and move it to under the rear bumper so people move. or get an alarm like this old guy from my old town had on his truck when his reverse lights came on his truck a recording played that said "attention backing up" inbetween the semi truck beeps apperently he backed over a child that he didnt see so he made sure that wouldnt happen again
@MCscarfacematt I hear you. That speaker is very loud on this Golf, and you will not believe how many people asking how to eliminate that noise...But I rather keep it loud too
@werdna2602 If you are confident that your scooter using exactly same brand of a controller and all wiring color codes are the same on throttle handle side and controller side , than follow my videos and you should be able to narrow down the problem .
@werdna2602 Make sure you have minimum of 38v from a battery pack plug. And if controller still don't respond by jumping wire as shown on the video , than you need new controller
yes, sorry, i forgot ... Will try to add next few days, just been very busy lately . But if you want it quick, simply Google and AL will give you all torque specs to specific spot
Have you found this type of brake doesn't proved enough brsking force? Ive adjusted and toghted as much as i can but brake are still very weak and unbalanced
@shaneyg1988 it is actually very responsive brake system caliper type, and it used on actual stand on scooters too. Maybe try to resurface brake disc and brake pads ( little bit, be gentle on pads as rhey can shave off fast) with finest sand paper to remove some glaze and it should improve the stopping power
It seems like a pressure issue. Like the caliper does not have enough travel to clamp hard enough. The brakes only start to engage when the lever is almost all the way back. And if I tighten the cable at the caliper it makes it worse as the caliper only has limited range. The only way I can make them work is to have the pads so close to the disc that they are rubbing
@shaneyg1988 Sorry, don't really know what is the actual problem there. But that caliper design is o.k and it can be adjusted for very good sensitivity and grabbing power. Maybe your brake disc and pads just need to be replaced. Don't know
@@You-can-fix-it there brand new. I'm going to get some replacement calipers as theure only cheap and see if that helps. The back break works great though. Thanks for taking the time to reply
Not supposed to ride these mobility scooters outside in the winter time! The condensation is bad for rust on the inside and outside and in the electrical components! Anybody that uses one of these outside in the winter is an idiot
@6636860 Canadians ride in winter for the last 24 years with zero issues, all electrical can handle winter. You just don't know what you are talking about because you never used one in a winter, as you never knew that there are special winter tire package for those Gio scooters.
In comparison to Pride Mobility Scooters,, such as the Raptor 2, GIO mobility scooters are garbage! Cheap junk, especially for the money you’re paying for them buy a Pride Raptor 2 3-wheel scooter instead! Excellent warranty service companies been making mobility scooters for over 30 years, and they are quality products with quality batteries! Not cheap pieces of garbage like this GIO is here! If you look at both machines side-by-side, you will see a massive difference in quality! The GIO scooters are made out of very low quality parts and batteries! Don’t get ripped off by a PRIDE mobility, scooter instead. You won’t be sorry like you will be if you buy the cheap GIO model!
@6636860 I guess you are either competitor, like Pride product dealer or you don't know what are you talking about...I have been around them for over 15 years now, and I know well the difference between both of them. For example, Pride Raptor 2 still using brake shoes system on the rear, and Titan Premium have read disc brake for 2 years now. Next, main controller is 1 minute self diagnostic type controller, and Pride you still have to do deep diagnostic to know what is the problem. Next, Titan Premium have real LED all around, and Pride have still halogen bulbs that get burned every season. Next, Titan Premium can be switched from Miles to Kilometers, compare to Pride no option like that . Next, Titan Premium has optional set of rear winter tires , compare to Pride have only summer thread tires. And I can continue on this list if needed ....but I hope it is enough . Stay safe !
All your videos are excellent, but I'm still having an issue and can't seem to find the fix. When my son just gave it enough power to barely move the wheels it's fine, but the minute he gives it more power the quad shuts down. What could it be? Thank you
@easy1965 Before you can suspect any defective components, you must test your batteries first, as if one or more batteries are defective and the batteries are undercharged with Voltage and especially wirh Amperage, atv controller will detect that and will not perform until you replace batteries
@@You-can-fix-it also in looking at your video, I don't see anything plugged into the brake cable and I don't see anything else by itself that it can plug into.. The bike with little throttle moves fine but when you try to give it more it does. Front lights work and rear brake light turns off and on when using the brake on both handle bars.
@irajmoin5833 Sorry, have no idea. There is big variety online and they all going to have their own securing set up that you will have to modify it somehow to you machine
Awesome video, super helpful! I just finished the wheel bearing replacement. I found that using a pair of vice grips and hammering that was enough to pull the cv axle shaft to catch the threads.
Got a brand new t walker scooter only rode a couple of yards then left in the bedroom for 15 months will the batteries need replacing green light is showing on the charger but nothing on the display
@You-can-fix-it thanks for your help don't no if it is worth doing as they are £150-£200 to replace the scooter cost £400 and is still brand new so can't decide what to do thanks for sharing your knowledge great video's
When I plug the charger in, the lights, horn etc work but there is no movement of the atv, does that mean the battery is bad or something else going on?
That means that you are getting power from the charger , but nothing from the batteries, if you unplug charger and you are loosing all of that power on accessories . So you need to test how many Volts coming out from the battery connection plug, must be 25V.
Also did you have to loosen the control arms to get the knuckle to drop down with enough clearance? Your technique of pulling out the strut from top down instead of bottom to top is genius if it means you don't need to loosen any other components
Whatever I easier for you . Just keep in mind that if you will be separating ball joint and tie rod, you will need special pullers, especially for ball joint, as it is tight space there
I am planning on doing this replacement tomorrow - I'm pretty comfortable with everything except for supporting the knuckle so I don't break the CV joint/axel. I see you're using a piece of wood on the ball join itself - is that safer than supporting the wheel bearing/knuckle from the front? In xdrive cars where the cv is on the knuckle there is a risk of dropping the knuckle and breaking off the tierod/ball joint/axel right?
Correct, as knuckle is heavy and will take down all components and there is a risk of ripping a boot on the CV axle or inner tie rod on the steering rack and that is why i supported knuckle
@@You-can-fix-it ok thanks - and I am guessing if you do this method where you leave top screws in for the last step - you do not need to loosen any control arms or tie rods?
Are these mobility scooter legal in the UK, im so fed up of getting wet and cold, the ones we have over here that are fully covered, they are so ugly looking, that one looks amazing.
Dude! You rock. My grandson has a Rosso eBike x that crapped the bed a couple years ago. I just found out a couple months ago that the bike has been collecting dust in the shed outside. My son in law is not mechanically inclined. I've bookmarked all of your Rosso videos and because of your knowledge, experience, and willingness to share it, my grandson is back on the trail again. Thanks so much!
id say the same way with the pins they should be identical wiring just run to different types of switches so everything under the seat should be the same
Yes, it still worth to invest , as long as body is in good shape and not rusted out , as those are the last naturally aspirated engines ! Person who understand that , is a winner , as those N51 and N52 engines are literally bulletproof ! Good luck !
@user-jv6rf3zm1j Mobility scooter does not require license plate in any country, as far as I know. But if you want to attach it, you can always reach with your hands feom underneath , as it is open
@@You-can-fix-it I want attach a name plate to my scooter...Underneath ?.. I'm not sure I know exactly where to pull to open that area. Can you do a video that illustrates how to open that area please.
@user-jv6rf3zm1j That panel does not open , but if you insert your hand underneath, there is a room for hand to hold a nut . Or just use double sided sticky tape and you are done from the outside
It's a little tough to see, but I'm pretty sure those aren't hex heads. Those are torques T25 Something like that size. Because T5 those are tiny tiny . They sometimes call the bit a star drive.

Hello would you know where to purchase the connecter piece in the smaller battery to connect both battery’s my connecter had burnt out and no longer works
I just purchased a similar 48v atv for my daughter. It does not switch speed modes (stays in slowest setting). I tried disconnecting the wiring harness and unit remains in slowest setting. Possibly bad wiring to the switch?
From what you describe, you either have problem with a main controller or undercharged batteries , as low energy inside batteries will not give you to switch to a higher speed . If i be you , i would start with testing or replacing batteries especially if they are older then 1 year .
@You-can-fix-it seller got back to me. I had to lift the seat, remove a safety wire and connect a harness together. This was no where in the instructions lol
@@You-can-fix-it sorry one more question: since the power supply and the module are wired through the tail light if it is broken do you think it could cause a fault in the power? I am trying to power mine up w new batteries and get power at throttle screen (lights up), alarm, and lots of voltage at indicator connection left over but lights, horn, motor are not responding. My tail light is broken I am wondering if that can be it.
Let me rephrase the question. I know the motor works because if I put 48v direct to it it spins. What is the best way to diagnose what’s wrong if the throttle js not getting signal/power from battery. I get 48v at indicator plug. Where else can I check for power to locate the cause. I am beginning to think controller. They also seemed to have installed a cigarette lighter.
If you just connect the charger to the main power cable with the fuse will it not charge all 4 at the same time? Why do them individually? Thanks for your videos!!
If one of the batteries have bad inner cell ( there are 6 internal cells in each battery), than original atv charger will detect bad inner cell and it will NOT start charging until it will be replaced . So in order to know which one battery is defective , you can try to recharge each battery individually with a regular car 12v charger and should detect exactly which battery is defective, so it will not start charging it either that particular battery and you know that is the one that need to be replaced . Some car battery chargers have recondition mode, so it can revive/repair any battery that was either low on charge or even repair slightly defective defective
@@You-can-fix-it ok thank you for your response. I just ordered 4 new batteries So as long as all four batteries are new/working well it should charge them all right? I can check them individually every few months with my multimeter..
@jessicaflynn7481 The only advise I have is to remove wiper motor and do some inspection. I bealive there was a bad batch on some of those wiper motors
@@You-can-fix-it thanks for the advice! I didn't know about some being in a bad batch! I'd love to watch any video you'd make about what the windshield motor looks like and where i might find it ! Thanks again :)
@jessicaflynn7481 Bad batch of parts are always present and in every industry, including high end brands vehicles. Too bad that customers are the ones that discover it first, instead of factories
@Classified_Pers0n_ No, it is impossible, as this one has 2 individual gear motors on each axle .... Plus, it is all mainly plastic construction, I don't see reason of investing more serious parts and money in something like that
@@godbody5993 Wheel must spin, not very freely to spin as there will be some resistance , but must spin. Unless brake caliper is holding brake disc , so release brake lever to verify that it was not the problem there ( maybe brake caliper need to be adjusted if it is locked up?, i have a brake adjustment video if needed ) You can also remove rear brake caliper and see if wheel will spin
I know nothing of Gio Gulf and I know your a good mechanic I have many of your video to know as fact! On one my two electric mobility scooter I has the same fuse that flips on and off I was told to flip it to off when charging the scooter as I understand it this to stop you from turn the scooter on when charging because it not good for all the electronics on your scooter as for the Gio Gulf I can't be sure, but having the flip fuse to me this makes sense to flip the fuse to off when charging, but I could be wrong! Great video thumbs up all the time! Peace!
Hi, i will be speaking only about Gio products here . So on ALL Gio scooters , main power breaker switch MUST be ON when you are charging your scooter , otherwise if main breaker switch is OFF, than you will NOT be able to pass power from charger to the batteries and batteries will NOT receive charge ... That main power breaker switch is installed primary for 3 purposes : #1 If there is a short in electrical system , than switch will flip OFF automatically to prevent other components to get burned . # 2 That switch is installed to disconnect power when you are away from the scooter for long period of time , gone for vacation, e.t.c #3 That switch is used for disconnecting power when you working on replacing some components
