I know they have to feature dumb-asses in these horror movies, but i think this one steals the award of the year. Did she not think to run out of the house at any time. She doesn't know how to call the police. Then she walks into a room and goes up to the obvious phantom and pulls the sheet off it, then to end her daft parade with style, she sees herself dead on the pavement, and doesn't bother to come in from the window and scream, WTF, these shorts are getting worse, more annoying than scary.
I prefer this type of horror the more serious horror. I’m not sure about all of these horror/comedies I mean some of them are ok like Shaun of the dead there was even one back in the Early 80s called student bodies it’s like scary movie which is a parody. Except student body pokes fun of slasher movies it’s ok for a horror/ comedy and way better than scary movie
*spoilers* at 5:21 you can recheck its not really her at the picture Also notice the recurring themes of shades of blue and grey throughout the film, most especially when she's checking out the dead body. The vehicles are colored blue and grey. And also their sweaters. Come to think of it, she was deciding between three shades each of blue and grey for the wall paint (in the beginning of the film) check out INTO THE NIGHT that's a great horror short too
This is a really clever idea, but as other commenters have said it's let down by her leaning out of the window for so long after seeing the picture and by the speeding cars. Even if it was just the car that hit the guy it would feel more like a random act of fate, but you've got two other cars zipping through the parking lot at freeway speeds before that one and it took me right out of the story both because it was out of place and because it made it obvious what was about to happen.
That was pretty bad. The idea was cool but the whole thing was a disappointment. She sees photos of the future, and see a hand and reacts so nonchalantly with facial expression like 'oops I just farted'. She hears footsteps behind and the door slam. Wouldn't you be near the front door, calling the police for an intruder after what you just heard and saw on your phone but instead goes to check it out. Vehicles are racing down the a parking lot, guy gets hit, then she just stares at him. Call the police there's been a hit an run, call an ambulance the guy's dying. Great premise but wasted potential.
Leaned on tropes a little too hard (literally leaning out the window for WAY too long, after she knows things are going wrong, standing in the middle of a busy road), and I feel they could have done more with a smart concept. Still effective.
Jesus wept! How in the hell are people commenting about "This is how you make a horror film"? Come on people, seriously? So 4 pictures of things about to happen but haven't yet, actually happen (one of them is a fucking creatures arm at your window) and the next one is seemingly you, dead on the ground below your 3rd(?) storey window and what do you do? Oh yeah, of course, you get on your tippy-toes and lean further out that window, silly me. I know what you're about ask. "SweetBaby is that the same window in the room that she chased something into to begin with? You know, the room with the longest sheet in the fucking world draped over a mannequin in the middle of it?" Yeah, that's the one. Absolute garbage and anyone praising the "amazing tension" and quality-on-a-budget aspect of this film should never be allowed to watch another film again...ever. Not to mention why did the person on the phone call her 'Fatty' and where does she live that you are allowed to drive that fast in what is clearly an apartment buildings parking lot? Way too much nonsense to overlook. I dunno, maybe "good horror movie" meamt something different 7 years ago...
Very good and unique thought and imagination in to the idea seen in future by photos freaky and different it usually ghosts not what happens in future that idea makes it unique and wacky 👍 10 / 10
One of the best short horror vids on youtube. Except I was hoping for a front kick from the gal, rather than approaching an slooooowly pulling off the sheet.
