"Pictures" Short Horror/Thriller - Directed by S.L. Allred 

Are we not gonna address the fact that someone committed vehicular manslaughter and then drove off?!!

And this, my friends, is how you do a horror movie on a budget. No crappy fx or jumpscare at the end, merely tension and a terrifying atmosphere the whole way through. I loved this.

That woman's eye ball is much scarier ,man .

That mannequin stuff is some of the simplest and well-crafted tension I've ever seen!

My first thought: call the damn ambulance

Finally a horror movie during the day and light! Brilliant work. With nice sound. Without the stupid and cliché jumpscares. Wanna see more.

Wow! That was very well done. Stephen King describes terror as, "When you come home and notice everything you own had been taken away and replaced by an exact substitute. It's when the lights go out and you feel something behind you, you hear it, you feel its breath against your ear, but when you turn around, there's nothing there..” This short film completely embodied King's definition of terror in every way. I was so hoping to find feature length films by S.L. Allred on IMDB and came away disappointed. I hope he makes a full-length feature soon.

Why did the driver at the end not use their brakes or even stop after they hit the man? Must have been one of the manequinns driving

Creating fear in daylight setup , that's something hard and you did it perfectly well. Great direction ! I don't really freak out watching horror but this one caused palpitations lol

I think the lighter blue would have looked good on that wall

**spoiler**: seems like no one noticed how the two similar blue paint shades at the beginning relates to her confusing the body on the ground with her own body when it's actually someone else also wearing similar shades of blue clothing. Good job director!

At 1:04 morgan says aren't they all the same? And guess what, this lady and the man who died are wearing same coloured costumes with little different shade,which looks same on her mobile screen

Aside from not calling 911 on the phone you literally have in your hand (script problem) she is the best actress I’ve seen in any of these short horror films. Her “Uhhh what tf??!?” face is so organic. And to be fair, at least for the first 4 minutes, my reaction would be the same. The absolute confusion would overwhelm the fear. I’d be like “I must be trippin”.

"Hoonneeeey? Where do you want the huge featureless black nightmare mannequin?" "Put it under the sheet sweetheart!" "Ok, thanks!"

I really enjoyed this from beginning to end. I like how it's in a light and airy place rather than a dark and grungy basement. It made watching this more enjoyable and real. I'd rate this 11/10 :)

Brilliant use of misdirection. I especially love that we're quick to assume that it's the front door that's about to open even though the handle in the picture looks slightly different.

These 8 minutes and 17 seconds were scarier than the majority of the thrillers I've watched. And I've watched a lot 😂

Fantastic thriller with so simple resources. I love when a trivial scene is transformed in horror by subtle changes. That's a Master's work!

Just posting a comment for the algorythm to remind the world that this short exists. Still a very good one imo, despite binge watching all sorts of horror shorts in the past few years, this one stuck with me.

10/10 scary buuuuut. I know the characters have to be stupid to make it seem more horror themed but what the hell?!?! If the same thing happened to me I would have been 7 miles away from that house into the airport and fly to Japan

So I'm 4:18 in and I paused the video to say I'm honestly debating whether to finish it because it's so creepy. And I am in love with all things horror, I'm not too easy to scare. Also, love the fact that it's during the day. So many films rely on this idea that it's only at night that scary things happen.

The concept was different.. I like it.. The use of the phone.. Sending pictures.. And the story was being told through it, was quite captivating.. Good job.

Nice film. :) :) I love how this film has a bit of plot in it with that twist regarding the photo of the car park and doesn't take the presumed route, :) :) and I love the double-subversion scare with the thing under the sheet. It probably makes me appreciate it all the more that the film started out feeling rather bland and monotonous to me until the photos of the door-handle came. :) Nice use of sound too, and again I love how it gradually got more intense as the short film went on. :) Great work you guys! :)

what is a car doing speeding in a parking lot? two why do you keep scrolling though the phone if you see the images get more messed up. i would have threw my phone away when i saw that it too a picture showing the future.

It was a nice twist on the Twilight Zone episode of a camera that takes pictures of events which take place a few moments in the future.

The pacing, the atmosphere.....everything. I loved everything about this. Great work!
