Really wanna wake that Ole where up dress her with a semi skip chain on that 28" bar, anything longer you run full skip as it'll clean much faster and retain high chain speed. Full comp I believe cuts just as fast if not faster than semi or full skip but the less cutters will be easily noticeable in the real hard-hardwoods we cut

Your learning, and doing good. Might want to get some Head / Face protection. And some Chaps. Sounded like your chain was a little hungry. Try not taking down the rakers so much for felling. Maybe try a skip tooth chain. Be safe so you can keep making your videos. Good job identifying your mistakes. And correcting them.

I was always taught this pattern for the road: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, TA forward and then fourth. Then to slow down with full gravity wagons I was told: 4th to 3rd then hold the clutch and go to 2nd or 1st but hold the clutch and let the weight to slow down then clutch out in 2nd, then first and when your in first slowing down pull the TA back. And without a load you just do that but use the gears and throttle to slow down, and NEVER use the TA to slow down, and make sure you throttle down when up shifting to avoid stress on the gears from the torque especially with the TA foward
@iowabuff
@iowabuff 10 месяцев назад
Always start with your torque arm pulled back, then as you go forward and need more speed then push the torque arm forwad

If I’m driving down the road and want to go faster do I just move the throttle up more and shift to a higher gear or how does that work
@OnyxHuber1187

You use the TA when in 3rd so then just go into fourth and throttle up yes

Draft is nothing to do with light or heavy equipment When pulling plow can set lever say in-between light heavy...when hit hard ground...will automatically pick up on arms a touch so tractor can pull it..the draft senses the pull....and keep front end of tractor from raising off ground

I have one exactly the same . Bought in 1984. Farmed all ground with it. Now it’s not big enough for the acres I have now!it’s handy for light work....filter is a restriction gauge for the air filter. If air filter is plugged it goes towards red!!!

The utmost reliable ones and guaranteed most wanted tractors at auctions to date deserving the highest bid The only issue I got is oil and hydraulic fluid leakage and corrosion. Anyway you guys are taking great care about this beauty out there! Stay safe and God 🙌🏿

Im always confused on how american tractors don't have a gas pedal...seems so wierd to meXD
@jacobiceps9452
@jacobiceps9452 Год назад
Most tractors will be running wide open when working. Rather than always having to stand on a pedal, a lever is much better.
@demoritzz5327
@demoritzz5327 Год назад
@@jacobiceps9452 yes and No there are a Lot of Jobs where you can have fixed rpm but for example while turning at the end of the field a Gas Pedal is advantageous also you ned to get to the field somehow and I don't know about the us but in Germany you need to drive along public roads a lot to do that
@nalley6815
@nalley6815 Год назад
@@demoritzz5327 what does driving on the road have to do with it? You set a gear and run it wide open until you stop. Not seeing the advantage
@nalley6815

@@jacobiceps9452 also most tractors since the 90’s have a throttle pedal. Just the tractors up til about 80’s didnt.
@demoritzz5327
@demoritzz5327 Год назад
@@nalley6815 in germany it's not that way our roads have more tight spots and Speedlimits and crossways where a gas pedal is useful. Also tractors are often used to pull trailers as far as i know u guys use trucks for that right? So yeah in germany it really makes sense

I wanted to see how you used the angle grinder to sharpen the mower blade BUT YOUR BACK WAS TO THE CAMERA THE ENTIRE TIME! I didn't learn anything!
@figureitoutfarm4371
@figureitoutfarm4371 Год назад
I made do with what I had before I had a tripod 🤷‍♂️. I have one now so future videos won’t be like that. It’s pretty self explanatory if you think about, you’re just using the grinder to sharpen and keep a consistent angle on the blade, an angle that is similar to the factory edge. Yes it would’ve made more sense if people could actually see what I was doing but it is also fairly self explanatory. If you have any questions let me know I’d be happy to answer them.

Finally a person who understands it doesn’t take $300 worth of sharpening tools to get the job done. I use the same simple tools as you do and I get great results just using my hand grinder, flap disc and balancer.

glad you put a deflector on it ! Stay safe man ,that's a big saw for your size. I run a 562xp and a 550xp mk2 to help my back with less weight
@figureitoutfarm4371
@figureitoutfarm4371 Год назад
Yeah I ran it for a couple minutes without the deflector just because I had just finished it, and it started melting some of the plastic on the saw 😬😂 so I went ahead and threw it on and have had no issues since. I’ve thought about going for the lighter saws but I really like the power that the bigger saws have.

Take your chain stop handle off and put you something kinda cool there like either an old small piston or even a box wrench . You get what I'm saying I think . You can customize and or color that saw like anything else.
