Hello, similar to Doug deMuro and Hoovie's Garage, I am also a car enthusiast but one who invests a lot of time in detailed reviews of real car replicas in various scales, ranging from 1/18 and 1/24 to 1/43 and in between. This channel is NOT made for minors, who will find my videos tediously long and boring. My channel is strictly for adults who can take the time and interest to sit back and appreciate the rich and illustrious history of cars, from exotic Ferraris and Lamborghinis to road legends like Mercedes and BMWs but also American muscle cars and land yachts from the 1950s to 80s, as well as the intricate details and fine parts these replicas have to offer and the pros and cons of the pricetags that come with them. Please check out my photography on flickr and follow me on instagram too.
I've been using MCG (Model Car Group) cases for a while now. Those are similar to the Exclusive one seen here, with latches on both sides, but with slimmer base, which I prefer. Didn't care for the locking mechanism as it's a PITA to open, when need be. Today I've ordered Triple9 ones as MGC's are getting harder to obtain now and just recently I returned two orders from different vendors. QC is terrible and I received MCG's cases scratched and marred beyond any display use (I'm not going to pay this much for simple storage 😅). Anyway, I hope that Triple9 will be... Fine 😂
Autoart did this in 18 and 43 scale. How does this compare with th eAutoart 43 scale ? Good review of a 1:43 scale. This car is not without controversy. Mechanically it was a problem.
the autoart 1/43 has brake calipers and defroster lines on the rear windshield, brake discs are smooth instead of ventilated and the rotary shaped head rests have a hole in them but being out of stock it's about 5 times the price. when it came out around 15 years ago it was the same price as the premium X.
I have the same model, but since I started collecting only high-end, I thought I would go for the cmc, but I found a black from frontiart fully open, in my opinion it looks way better than the cmc.
Nice review, thank you. You don’t sound like a native English speaker, so one thing I’ll remind you of is that "There’s" is used in singular context while "There’re" is used in a plural context. "There’s one." "There’re two." Thanks, again.
Looking amazing in yellow. I found the silver painted model a few years ago. It's definately looking way fancier in yellow! Jada had so crazy wheels, haha. Thinking about the Dodge Magnum from Jada in my collection - it also has such tuning wheels. I prefer the more original look. I didn't know about this generation of the Viper until I've once seen a video of the model car and then I searched for it. Back then I only found the silver one.
yeah i wish maisto had also made the gen 3 viper in yellow, or made a coupe version of the gen 2. the only thing i dont like about the gen 2 is that the hood opens in a normal way instead of clamshell style like in gen 1 and gen 3
Hello, I came across your video because I am interested in buying Werk83 model cars. I am unfamiliar with this brand. I wanted to know if they were diecast or resin. Your video is well made. You show that the car rolls well. I like the fact that you talk about the history of the car and show footage of the Procar Monaco race . Nice touch with music from A-Ha ! Needless to say I subscribed to your channel. I have this BMW M1 from Minichamps that bought maybe 20 years ago. I have the BASF version with opening doors and engine bay. Cheers from Canada.
The main (biggest) flaw about the Maisto Jaguar XJ220 both of 1/24 and 1/18 is the proportion of masses above the Fr wheel arch (upper fr femder). It is over proportion (too bulky) along the waistline through upper Rr fender. That flaw affect the proportion of the DLO. The DLO is under propotion. It is too low. That flaw make me cancel my intention to buy the Maisto Jaguar XJ220. Too bad Autoart does not replicate this amazing car.
hi, is the front trunk piece at least made out of metal? i am wondering if i can use one from a non elite version and place it on an elite one. thanks in advance!
Very nice model. Maisto has definitely improved on their model in the past few years. I picked up the 1/18 high wing back when they released it at sams Club. I have seen this 1/24 model at Hobby Lobby, and it looks very nice. Great video!!!
Couple days ago I bought this model from Rastar and this is what can I say: Rastar's version is another level of detalization and quality. It's closely to Franklin mint or WIX collectible but in budget segment. IF SOMEBODY WANT TO BUY AUDI R8 LMS IN 1/24 SCALE, YOU MUST TAKE A LOOK ON RASTAR'S MODEL. This is just my opinion! ;)
I know this was 3 years ago 😅. But did you have any issue with the front removable panel. Because I bought the 4 tier one, and my front panel is a pain to remove. You have to take the top off for it to come off. It might have been shaped wrong. It fits once you get it in though. Just wondering if you had that issue or not. Great video!
This is a 1994 Seagrave Maurader II pumper and from late 1993 all the way to late 1995 they’ve used the double grill on these early to mid 90s rigs this also includes the ariel ladders and tower ladders we have. From 1996-2007 we used the single grill but came back to the double grill in 2008 but the lower grill was attached to the uppet grill they still use this style but in a different shape format it’s still the same grill but the corners are much sharper than it’s older versions they started doing the sharper corner double grills in 2013 and that is still seen on newer engines and ladders today in NYC. But when they started going back to the round corner double grills that were combined together they put the vintage white light bar beacons with leds next to the halogen rotating light bulbs inside for the left and right side of the rigs and then just the leds in the beacons in the middle. These rigs for the engines were used to replace the old late 80s Mack CF pumpers such as: Engine 1, Engine 7, Engine 14, 15, Engine 16, Engine 24, Engine 28, Engine 33, Engine 50, Engine 74, Engine 76, Engine 79, Engine 80, Engine 84, Engine 93, Engine 154, Engine 159, Engine 161, Engine 164, Engine 202, Engine 207, Engine 209, Engine 216, Engine 217, Engine 218, Engine 221, Engine 234, Engine 237, Engine 238, Engine 240, Engine 243, Engine 246, Engine 254, Engine 260, Engine 261, Engine 264, Engine 273, Engine 275, Engine 285, Engine 293, Engine 297, Engine 307, Engine 315, Engine 321, Engine 324, Engine 325, Engine 330, and Engine 332. The 2014 Seagraves replaced: Squad 18, Squad 41, Squad 61, and Squad 288. The Seagraves replaced some 1989 and 1991 Mack tower ladders such as: Ladder 14, Ladder 17, Ladder 33, Ladder 58, Ladder 117, Ladder 119, Ladder 121, Ladder 131, Ladder 153, etc etc
I want to ask this. This "shadow box" has been a pain in the ass, and I have been searching every corner of the internet, but can't find the true cure. Is there, up until this moment, any true solution to this, or just compromises, that the this is how the game is and we have to accept?
yes, there are solutions, but you'll have to modify certain game files, which means it won't work for online. If you don't care about online, go ahead. I forgot how the fix was, but i remember it was thanks to a mod called literally "shadow box fix" in gtavmods website. Look it up.
185 euro thats 300 dollars Australian bit too pricey for me.Great detail but the bonnet doesnt open no thanks. I purchased a Ford GT40 mark 2 here in 1:18 scale for around $220 AU and the doors, engine compartment, and front storage opened.
