My Wife and I started Charlie Mike Woodworks & Design to "continue the mission" that God placed in our hearts. That mission is to help people who suffer from PTSD, depression and other mental health disorders. While our cornerstone is all Veterans and First Responders, we want to help anyone who suffers. These HERO Veterans and First Responders deserve help in any form that may reaches that person. Our way to help is by showing there are avenues available and to provide a positive and happy space for those who desperately deserve it.

Hate to be critical but some of those cuts you made on the TS are really dangerous. You should make a cutoff sled to cut those pieces to length instead of using the rip fence on the TS
@@user-dy1jo8wr9v you're fine. I actually have a sled, but my table infeed doesn't offer a lot of room. But, I am also making a smaller sled that's not as deep, and have been figuring out the infeed as well.
Uh Oh 😱, The YT Safety Police Are On The Prowl!! Don’t use the fence on your table saw (that’s only there for a reason but shouldn’t be used as it’s dangerous 😱😱)!! Instead make a sled so you can take up more space in your shop & only really use for "filming (safety) purposes"!! That’s how you make it on YT…. You get on your knees to the algorithms & their bots 🤖, & if they change their TOS requirements 10x in 1 week you don’t read it, & you definitely don’t question it, you just click the box, then you accept & keep your peasant trap 🤐 shut!!
@@rayansandysteward7474 thank thank you! Mrs. Charlie Mike has been wanting this for a little while now. It is pretty neat, but finding a lid (Cloche?) wasn't as easy. There aren't a lot of square glass ones that aren't somewhat pricey. Anyway, thank you again and stay tuned...more to come.
Very Nice and Creative Job, Thank You!!! And thank you too for your explanation about of Charlie Mike meaning. As I'm brazilian and curious person that explanation got the target.
@@oscarpauzerfilho2003 thank you, Oscar. I appreciate that. Regardless of the country, I'm willing to bet all militaries have a saying that is similar in meaning.
@@JohnColgan. yes, sir, it does. Charlie and Mike are the NATO phonetic annunciation of the letters "C" and "M". In the US Army (and I'm fairly sure in many, many more branches and other nations' forces), Charlie Mike primarily stands for "continue mission."
@@CharlieMikeWoodworks ahh I thgough tit was something significant like that, Veterans have to Continue Their Mission ...to Live & Be Happy. RESPECT for what you are doing!
Nice work, love the colour! You missed the chance to cut the sides shape of each dog face in side profile and the bar in their mouth!! Would have been awesome!
@@karlriley1314 both came from the Home Goods store, just a couple of years apart. Stay tuned because I'll be making each dog a totally brand new feeder stand soon.
Thank you for your service from other brother in arms , a 20 year veteran, love that flag , I agree with you America people needs to get back on track with our Jesus Christ , where God would heal our land and take back control over our country from this evil government.
Whilst yes, you can use a table saw to resaw timber and I have cut thousands of them in my time, for cabinet center panels. This is also very dangerous and only the fool hardy would choose this method.
@@CharlieMikeWoodworks I had a band saw, but still preferred to resaw. At least make yourself a jig, to save your fingers. I had a bad accident on a panel saw, back in 2000, I had just got back off holiday and spent a lot of time in the water. My hands were soft, every time I picked up a piece of wood, I ended up with a splinter. So stupidly decided to wear gloves. Saw blade caught the gloves and pulled my fingers into the saw blade. 50+ stitches, temporary pins through the tips of two fingers, skin and bone grafts. Eight weeks off work, six weeks of physiotherapy. I was lucky to keep them. Don't risk it, take my advice mate. You only have to be unlucky once!
That's awesome! It's like working out.m, or doing a puzzle, etc. A lot healthier than drowning ourselves. If you need anything just holler, I'll be here. Enjoy, and thank you for subscribing. Tell all your friends, vets and otherwise. Let's build this thing up!
Very slick looking clock. Nice job. The movement attaches with a nut, so no need to glue. You won’t be able to change it when it eventually stops working.
Yeah, I had thought about that as well, but decided to use it. I may replace it sometime in the next year...I wasn't happy with the face of it. But overall, I'm happy so far with it. Thank you for tuning in!
I kind of have plans. I haven't gotten a good plan sketchup that I'm comfortable with yet, so all my plans are literally written on a piece or several pieces of paper. I'm working on getting something like Sketchup though. As soon as I do, I'll make one and put it out there, so keep checking back!
Thank you for replying sir. Can’t apologize for how quickly you respond. I appreciate the response at all. Question. Have you thought of doing something for the stars as far as stain resistance? Example would be to put the pattern down and spread wood glue and let that dry, we’ve all been there with one project or another when finishing. Or perhaps a light coat of polyurethane again through the stencil then apply blue stain after it’s dried?
Awesome video dude. I was thinking about making something similar for my channel but never had a chance or time to start it. Seems quite simple so maybe I'll take it as my next project!. Keep up your great work and I hope to see a new video soon! You've got a sub man!
I appreciate it! I'm gonna keep working to monetize so I can make more and more flags FREE for Veterans and First Responders! You should definitely make one and video it. I can't wait to see it! I subscribed to your channel and I want to see one out of pallet wood! Again, thank you so much, I truly appreciate it!!
@@CharlieMikeWoodworks it's awesome to see some inspiration! Honestly great job there! Recently YT hates me and does not sent anybody my way so I'm working even harder to create content and I do really appreciate your subscription. Let's create a great diy woodworking community here. That'll be my goal :D All the best and once again Thank you for the inspiration.
I have, too. I've wanted to make one for some time, and finally did. I totally agree that it was satisfying to make. I definitely learned a few things and will make more pieces. Thank you for watching!
I think it will look better if you don’t put the top piece of wood, round off the back piece to the paper roll diameter and then on that back piece paint, carve or place a sticker simulating a measurement scale. So as the paper roll is used people knows how much is left.
I kind of agree about the top, or the shelf. I didn't have it on the first one that I threw together awhile back. Thought I'd try something different on this one. The back piece part is an interesting idea, and I might explore that angle. Thank you so much for your comments and ideas. I appreciate that.
@@gwestep thank you! I admit the top shelf does hold my cell phone well. However, I've noticed that if I'm missing it, that's where I find it. So it's pulling double duty for me!
Yes, small pieces can become projectiles, you're absolutely correct. It is not as safe, but doable. Plus, my table insert isn't the best, which also plays in it. PLUS, if you notice I do stand to the side instead of behind. I'll mention that in the future, and thank you for reminding me to do that for others. You rock and thank you again! Charlie Mike!!
@@CharlieMikeWoodworks The unsafe technique isn't about cutting small pieces of material. It's about pushing through on your off-cut instead of the material which is up against the fence. You leave that section trapped in between the fence and a spinning blade.
@@gabrielgarcia5686 correct. It was early when I sent my reply, but, what you said is what I was trying to answer to about the projectiles. I agree it's not as safe as with material against the fence, and in hindsight I should have mentioned that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Happy Easter! Thank you very much, I truly appreciate that. Our goal is to be able to make a wooden flag for as many Veterans as we can. I'll have a video up soon about that
