Okay, upon a recent rewatch one thing has been bugging me: Pablo's entire plan falls apart during their rehearsal. When he tells Lizzie to actually sing along to the track, he can hear that Lizzie's a good singer. If his goal was to humiliate Isabella by turning her mic off, it wouldn't make any difference if she could still sing the song.
As a huge Miley fan, thank you for completely reminding me why I skipped the Hannah Montana era. Another wonderfully edited video with great comedic timing that gives us the best of both worlds.
If you thought that Robert Rodriguez's movies are so bad just like we could be heroes or spy kids 4, check out spy kids 2 and 3, and the machete movies
I’m glad you pointed out Jackson cause his storylines in the movie were so random and just out of place lol like they tired so hard to give him a part in this movie
They actually did mention the movie in the series once. In the season 3 episode “For (Give) A Little Bit” Miley and Jackson were arguing while Miley as Hannah was giving a radio interview on the phone. She made fun of her brother and Jackson got mad at her for saying sth embarrassing about him to which Miley replied that nobody knows Jackson Stewart is Hannah Montana’s brother and Jackson said that the whole town of Crowley Corners knows.
fun "where are they now" fact: Emily Osment, who plays Lily, is getting her own show on CBS in the fall. Her character, Mandy, was introduced in the last few seasons of Young Sheldon. She is the first wife of Sheldon's brother Georgie. George and Mandy are getting their own show.
to answer your questions about Jackson: there was originally a subplot where Jackson didn't get into college but told his dad he did and he is pretending to go to college while actually working at his cousin's zoo while waiting to apply to college. Most of his scenes were cut for time. It followed the formula of the show where Jackson usually had a B-Plot. I really like this movie when I was a teenager. It was what I wanted from a Hannah Montana movie: a struggle between dual identities, Hannah taking over Miley's life and Miley needing to be reminded who she really is (granted the execution of this plot could have been better). There are a lot of flaws in the movie, even as a teenager I thought it was stupid she doesn't just call Travis and reschedule the date. I really shipped Miley and Travis and wish he had been in the show. Lorelli also ought to have been in the show. The movie is canon to the show, her identity reveal was referenced, which makes it even weirder the show more or less acts like the movie isn't canon. I never liked that she puts the wig back on, I think it ruined the moment, they all just wanted her to go back to being her non-authentic self. I guess the writers did it in order to continue the show but they didn't have to. The last season of the show could have been about her adjusting to life being out of the closet.
I live in Tennessee and the way that it worked whenever you get left to land is that you have to pay what is owed otherwise it becomes the states property…. Which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me…… because if it’s left to the town, the town is who would sell it…. And if the town can’t pay the taxes…. Then it would go to the state… the whole thing doesn’t make a lot of sense
ohh ok maybe the whole thing is the town would have to sell it to the developers otherwise it would go to the state who would sell it to the developers anyways? I know its not that deep but I still like to try and put two and two together. $500k still seems insanely high for taxes though.
@@sassygrilledcheese not really. We have really high taxation when it comes to land.. Tennessee is a really affordable state to live in. We only pay federal tax.. We have no payroll tax. Three months out of the year we have no taxation on groceries. And out of the year, we have no taxation on school like materials or office materials. Even though our minimum wage is 7.25 an hour the majority of people here make far more than that and are able to live somewhat comfortable lives. When the pandemic hit a lot of people from blue states move to Tennessee and caused a horrible housing crisis that were still not recovering from very well. And since this horrible boom of population increase it’s actually Raised taxation even more, And a lot of areas are very affordable to live in for the people that grew up here. I actually live on the outskirts of Memphis and my community is suffering greatly from people moving out this way. The schools are becoming over crowded, Big companies are buying a farmland, and smaller businesses are having to close down. A lot of people are losing their jobs and businesses. But yeah to answer your question the taxes on land here has always been really high simply because it’s always been affordable to live here.
with the Jackson stuff.. there was a cut storyline, about him lying that he's going to college.. so he works at Derek (ferret guy)s mini zoo xD theres a few deleted scenes and it's hilarious XD
The problem with this movie is at the point in the series when Hannah wasn’t a spoiled fame-obsessed brat so it was weird that the movie started with this as the protagonists issue. What made Hannah Montana was not just the singing, the wigs/outfits, the escapism into the Hannah world - it was Jackson, Oliver, Rico, Lily and her dad. They were barely in it! They could have made a few captivating sub plots using these characters instead of Travis loves Miley but Miley is Hannah and Oswald from the UK is trying to expose her secret…. And then Crowley Corners just keeps the secret?!! WHAT?!!
SGC I need you to know you made me laugh so hard in this one that I spit my drink out all over myself. I am a 24 yr old woman lmao Anyways not that it matters literally at all but Rascal Flatts, a country band very popular in the 2000s to those of us in the yewhaw states, was also in this movie (they sang Life is a Highway from the Cars 2006 soundtrack). My rant is: how the hell did these country bumpkin ass people get rascal flatts AND taylor to come to honkytonkville-nowhere, usa??? it's never mentioned that miley pulled strings with her money/connections, so I choose to believe the funnier option, which is that these two incredibly famous acts just showed up in this random ass tennessee town, for no reason, sang a little song, then left. ALSO: told my mom about the hannah paying for everyone's entire lives thing and she said if that was her daughter hannah's behavior would be disrespectful, millions be damned??? HUH??? truly a convo some aren't ready for ig anyways ty for coming back from your drought sorry youtube peer pressured you haha
omg thank you! And I think Taylor Swift was just some random girl in the movie and wasn't meant to be famous. I'm pretty sure the rascal flats were supposed to be in Miley's family. Like none of them were supposed to be famous in the movie I think.
omg so I actually tried doing that but I felt like watching as a casual viewer there was just waaaay too much going on. Idk I just wasn't feeling it when I tried it in editing!
8:40 im ngl im usually iffy on smaller youtubers cause a lot seem stale or go on and on w the same joke which they reached so hard to get to but youre actually funny asf and you like- seem like a friend? if that makes sense lol like i burst out laughing but also yesss youre so real for that lmao
one st patricks day when i was like 7 i went to a parade w my dad after the parade there was a fair kinda thing w food and games and stuff to watch. they had a ring and some wrestlers and one was called the vampire. he drank a red substance that, from a 7 year olds pov, looked like blood. i got scared so my dad and i left but i was still scared so he tried to cheer me up. he said "were going to a hannah montana concert" i was beyond excited- it was my first concert and i was gonna see my favorite artist. we get to the theatre and get in our seats, in the front, and wait a few mins in the dark. then big luminous letters spelling out H-A-N-N-A-H M-O-N-T-A-N-A lit up the room and there she stood, in her sequin dress like the one in the beginning of this video. i truly felt like i had made it big. maybe even had the chance to become her best friend and then maybe even a popstar like her! i mean we were RIGHT near the stage and somehow my dad got last min tickets. it was a dream come true... took 7 year old me about 10 mins to realize my dream was literally a dream as she was on a screen and it was just a recording of one of her concerts 💀
I didnt have cabel tv growing up but my parents bought me hannah montana cds. I think i was 10-11 when someone told me she was actually miley and brunette and i just didnt believe them or see the similarities 🙃
i remember watching this movie opening weekend and being so annoyed with Lilly. like yeah i understand you being upset but girl if anything everyone would be talking about her party for months bc Hannah Montana showed up. also where tf is Uncle Earl and Aunt Pearl?
omg i had that red hannah Montana shirt 😂 the gold square with the logo was a button and when pressed it sings "rockstar" i thought i was coolest kid in 3rd grade
HONESTLY I did not watch the movie, but I owned the soundtrack CD as a kid lmao also Lucas Till is the guy in Taylor Swifts you belong with me MV lol also from the movie as far as I know the only thing from it that’s canon and continued into the show is her horse which you see in the last season or two of Hannah Montana
the movie is a weird thing for me, bcs for as big of a fan of Hannah Montana i was i don’t have any recollection of the movie or even having a big want to see it?? like i was the exact age demographic for the show and watched it whenever i could, i had that first Hannah Montana CD that i listened to constantly on my CD player, me and my childhood friend both loved the show and copied funny moments from it, and the two biggest songs from this movie i know i listened to!!! the Hoedown Throwdown verse and dance is ingrained in my mind, and i had plenty of angsty pre-teen moments while listening to The Climb, but the movie? nah. nothing. i know somebody who is in that crowd of fans from the concert at the beginning, and i went to the same middle school that Miley Cyrus attended too, all of this just makes me even more baffled that this movie isn’t a core memory for me. the only logical thing is that at that age i was also obsessed with High School Musical and Sonic the Hedgehog as well so maybe that occupied my three braincells and overwhelmed the one Hannah Montana braincell all that to say your video is the closest i’ve ever gotten to watching the movie, and seems to be the better option over watching it for your commentary and bcs i know i wouldn’t have the patience for it now as an adult LMAO
No but actually I don’t remember ANYONE being excited for this movie and I was in the 7th grade when it came out. Like my age group was peak Hannah Montana so I completely understand what you’re talking about.
As someone who does cold plunges fairly regularly, you are supposed to GET OUT when you start shivering. The fact they insisted on the girls staying in the water past their limits is cruel AF.
Sorry for commenting twice but the Emily Osment appearance made me think you should totally watch Cyberbully. That movie was absolutely insane. I don't know if you just watch kid's shows or nostalgia shows period with its darker themes, but it'd be a wild one lol
Also let's shout out the fact that Miley is supposed to be 15/16 in this. It's not like she's a full grown adult trying to manage all her responsibilities, shes a literal child. And since Robby Ray obviously never works and Jackson works at a surf shack for a 10 year old, theres no other way for them to have the life they show in the show/movie other than using Hannah money. And I'm sorry, but I think if my best friend/daughter/sister was an undercover pop star trying to keep their identity hidden, I feel I would be a little more understanding about the fact she's gonna miss some things or be a little late from time to time. Sometimes without a lot of warning, because they are literally the only ones she had trusted enough to tell she was Hannah. Plus Robby Ray is canonically as famous as Billy Ray Cyrus is in real life, so it's not like Miley would even be completely unknown/anonymous by the general public, instead of being an artist herself she would just be considered that old country singer's daughter. Lowkey it seems like Robby Ray was trynna be a Kris Jenner for Miley but instead of making it obvious shes a nepo baby, he gave her a false identity so he could use his connections to get her in to the music scene while not having to live in the limelight again himself. Make the world think she was so talented she just made it, when in reality it was all him. PLUS he's probably the one that hired this publicist, he can fire her and find someone that actually gives forewarning to events and keeps like a calendar or something. Also why is Robby Ray not talking to Miley's Publicist BEFORE they make plans for something for Hannah? Does she just not have his number to call him up and say "Hey big thing happening, I need Miley these days and these times". Miley's manager/publicist and her dad expecting her to manage everything while offering no support or help to her at all are the true villains of the story IMO.
you popped up in my recommended with this video and i have been watching so much of your channel over the last night. i have no clue how you don't have more subs omg
I watched this movie in cinemas when it came out cuz I’m old and never saw anything to do with it again until today. GOD the vindication I feel from you defending Miley and pointing out how shitty everyone is being towards this actual high schooler whose wealth they’re all leeching off.
