I have never used a sealer on these windows, and never had a problem with them leaking. However after seeing this video, I think it's a good idea to use the sealer, as an added insurance. Thank you for the video.

the 41-44 planes have to be the most beautiful planes that stanley produced. i have a 41 and 43. i wish i had a way to mill the groove in the back of the irons, i would make a couple more!
Planing the way you are is wrong. You should begin near the end and then back up to the start one stroke at a time. You otherwise put a lot of wear on yourself and your plane blades.
