Granted I was born in ‘80 and only knew this song through athletics… but yous couldn’t take one look at this guy, and know there was something deeply wrong with him 🤷🏻♂️
So this came out in 1972? Until now, I didn't know that. I would have been only two years old at the time it came out. I must have been in my teens when I first heard it. Nevertheless, this tune ROCKS!
I hate the fact that I still like this song. I grew up through the Glam Rock period, and like a lot of youngsters I was totally oblivious to what was going on with the lead singer. He let down a generation of trusting teenagers.
This song is amazing! I'm mature enough to realize that the entire band ain't PDFiles and all Gary Glitter did was sing a few lyrics. Y'all need to act like adults and not like the age of his victims
It's a case of hate the sin and love the sinner. Like Michael Jackson and his questionable relationship with little boys, I love his music, but deplore his private life. Same goes for Gary Glitter.
11 Years old when I first heard this, in 1972, captivated since then, I had a massive crush on him...glad now I never met him, but, despite the paedo vocalist, the MUSIC was brilliant and out of this world.
