Here we are, 10 years later and on the verge of playing the Spurs again in the postseason, and what's my first thought ... that it's a good excuse to watch this video again for the hundredth time. The most iconic Grizzlies video ever produced! Great job, Jonathan!

OMG, Marc Gasol is truly amazing! However, Kawhi is really my guy ! I followed Kawhi from the Spurs to the Raps. Of course, I followed Kawhi to the Clippers. I am a natural born American citizen but during the FIBA tournament, I cheered for Spain the entire tournament. Beer PAPI, Marc, was so thrilled to be become an NBA champion. How thrilling it would it be if Marc could be a gold medalist in the FIBA tournament. And, it happened! These accolades could not happen to a more wonderful person. Congratulations Marc Gasol!
I will never forget this season. I don't know that there will ever be a sports moment that tops the Spurs series. Even if we win a championship in the future this team will hold a special place in my heart. I have a really hard time believing that Warrior fans get the feeling that I got when Shane hit that three, when Zbo scored 17 in the fourth, or when Mike and GV hit those threes to tie the game in the triple overtime game. There was a buzz in Memphis that May that was just so amazing. I loved that team, and I love this video.
Jerry west who was workin for Memphis actually made that pau gasol trade...the way Kevin McHale gave Garnett to Boston his home for very little .. These 2 bums knew their times were over anyways so they gave their old organizations guaranteed chances at titles.....and like clockwork these bad trades then got Both Fired for it..and for their team sucking...you dont make trades like prime kg and pau gasol for nothing hoping late mid first round picks pan out ...that's not smart...they got no immediate benefit player from it and they got lucky they picked marc gasol but it took awhile for him to develop and all they did was blow up a first round team to get younger and worse for 3 years and pau would of been better next to z bo and hes a legit go to scorer..which his brother wasn't ....bad move..marc was great for them because of z bo but gasol proved he could help lead 3 teams to the finals but I guarantee with Kobe marc ain't averaging 19 and 10 3 and 2 and winning 2 titles ....pau is a hall of famer. Top 3 pick for a reason...marc not so much ...the kg deal was just terrible but he wanted out ....I would never trade a top 20-25 player ever and best player in my franchise history ...I'm sorry ...I need a stud back..
Memphis also gave miami a title in 2005-2006 by giving them James Posey Jason Williams for literally just old ass washed up Eddie Jones who the heat didn't want anyways ...just for tax purposes cause they didn't want to pay williams or Posey...amazing.....
Wallace epitomized Grit and Grind. Started his own recruiting magazine, slept on benches, was a janitor. Props to CW. He has enbraced Memphis, but, yes, sometimes you can be in one position, in one place, for too long. Even if Jaren and Dillon are good picks, the coaching choices have been horrendous. How do you hire Fizdale, let him gut and change the dynamic of the team, let him drive awful personnel decisions like Ben McLemore and Tyreke Evans, then fire him 18 months later, to then rebuild around Marc, who you trade within the next season. The coach we have was selected in part because of Marc's bond with him. Hopefully we can get rid of the Boston trade albatross this year, unless we win one of the lotto slots. But I think it is time for Wallace to go, with our gratitude.
I hope that one day we get a documentary of the Grit and Grind era that matches the quality of this video. This team is a great testament that championships are not everything. My feeling of pride and excitement that I had when we won the Spurs series could probably only be matched by a championship, but never surpassed.
