Here we are, 10 years later and on the verge of playing the Spurs again in the postseason, and what's my first thought ... that it's a good excuse to watch this video again for the hundredth time. The most iconic Grizzlies video ever produced! Great job, Jonathan!
I will never forget this season. I don't know that there will ever be a sports moment that tops the Spurs series. Even if we win a championship in the future this team will hold a special place in my heart. I have a really hard time believing that Warrior fans get the feeling that I got when Shane hit that three, when Zbo scored 17 in the fourth, or when Mike and GV hit those threes to tie the game in the triple overtime game. There was a buzz in Memphis that May that was just so amazing. I loved that team, and I love this video.
I hope that one day we get a documentary of the Grit and Grind era that matches the quality of this video. This team is a great testament that championships are not everything. My feeling of pride and excitement that I had when we won the Spurs series could probably only be matched by a championship, but never surpassed.
Three years later and I still watch this video, especially during the playoffs. I really hope to see you make some new Grizzlies videos for this remarkable bounce back season. Go Grizzlies!!!
Thanks man! It means alot that you still dig it after all these years. If the Grizz make it to at least the Finals... ill make another one ;) The song is "Revelations" from the production music library, Siren Cues. Email me if you want more info on it. jonchico@gmail.com
They want my guy you haven’t heard the grizzlies are what’s had & the media loves us now 😭 they city will start having Christmas & all star games I can’t wait! #FUTURECHAMPS
Hands down the best Memphis Grizz video I've ever seen, still to this day. You captured the Grit and Grind era PERFECTLY with this video. Brilliant, man!
Love it, great video; Grizz Nation, baby. Can't wait for next season to start --- WELCOME JOHN SELBY WITH OPEN ARMS, MEMPHIS... As we did for Zach Randolph, Tony Allen, so on and so forth!!!!
I believe do you believe? I witnessed the Zbo ( aka Zach Randolph) 3 pointer against the spurs and Memphis went CRAZY still chanting Zbo, and now Zbo is healthy from his MCL tear. Look out NBA here comes at least 5 five years of gritting and grinding to victory!!! Go GRIZZ!!!!!!!!!!
@Lawny92 The song used is "Revelations" by Siren Cues (SIR 14 Epic 2 / Track 14) Siren Cues is a production music library for television/film advertising.
@0JetZero Thanks man. Our teams always battle when they get together. Hopefully it will develop into a rivalry... but for it to be a true rivalry, we gotta beat ya. Thanks again for the kind words.
@sparksmemphis i'm glad u liked it. i had taken a video on my phone of that moment as well after coming out of the bathroom... needless to say, ur video was soooo much better.
yo im about to cry! and all the real fans got a flashback at the to game 3 walkin out the building with out growl towels over our heads chantin Z-BO! Z-BO!
i hate the fact that everybody forgets that manu ginobili had a broken right arm and wasn't even suppose to play in the post season. not taking anything away from memphis tho cause they did good against a healthy thunder team as well.
I don't live in Memphis anymore, and mostly catch them as an "away" fan… and again I'm usually the only one cheering. All i know is.. its much better cheering with a crowd than against it.
I totally get where you're coming from. When you cheer for a bad team, you get ridiculed and you feel like you're alone. I remember going to games and not having a single soul 10 seats in any direction. It felt like a graveyard. For some reason, you stick with them though.
When the team finally starts winning all these fans start showing up. One way to look at is that they are "bandwagon", or "fake" fans. I honestly believe no fan base should support a losing franchise… it only encourages management to keep things the way they are. Supporting a bad team, as admirable as it may seem, only hurts the team in the long run.
problem is have these fake ass fans couldn't care less about the Grizzlies when they were bottom feeding and rebuilding...Sad really. Been a Grizz fan since the Hubie Henchmen...and this team deserves a TRUE fan base!
Love the Grizz! Anyone else think it was funny when Bob Ryan said "we salute San Antonio for a decade of brilliance but it's ovah" Haha what an idiot. Memphis beat a top quality team and has done so ever since every playoffs. Believe Memphis!
