I attend a Byzantine Catholic Divine Liturgy. Our magnification hymn to the Theotokos is slightly different but very similar. This arrangement is hauntingly mystical. Hopefully, one day both Churches will reunite.

This hymn is of heavenly origin. Yes, it brings me to tears. If Hamas comes to your doorsteps, sing this hymn in Arabic to them as it may save them. It is the song of the Cherubim at the Throne of God, so it is very powerful.
Now let's tell you a funny story about a man called Jesus: A god assaulted, by a proxy angel,...? and then inseminated a dum village 'virgin' named Mary, in order to bring his 'son' haha into our world. A cowardly and disgusting action... by any god...! (typical of the men who invented these gods) Mary and her cuckolded fiance ? Joseph, a dolt to believe her cheating and forgive her 'bastard' pregnancy, travel to Bethlehem . There Mary gave birth to an illegitimate son of a 'god' ? Oh Wow. Hahaaha His body was placed in a tomb. But three days later, the tomb was empty ?! Suuure! Then he ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of his god the father almighty, never to be seen again....?? wow! A zombie story... A jesus is irrelevant without a god!
Today (17 June 2023) is my wife's 40th day since repose. A friend linked this in reply to the announcement. May the soul of the handmaiden of God, Veronica, and all of the faithful departed rest in peace.
@@GodIsSalvation1 Thank you. :) I feel pretty assured of this. At her repose, her room, which had been flooded with the smell of eucalyptus oil from an aromatherapy lamp at the hospice house suddenly smelled like myrrh. I suspect we need her prayers more than she needs ours. May God be glorified in His handmaiden.
I am a catechumen, and I heard this for the first time last week when literally everybody suddenly sang it together at church. It was absolutely spectacular. Everyone joyously and harmoniously singing together, I can't explain how it made me feel to hear it. I've never experienced anything like that in my former Baptist church. Just another beautiful memory I have of my journey into Orthodoxy.

My favorite. ☦️ This is the chant that grasps my heart. It comes to me throughout the year, during difficult times. Yes, it brings tears, but also a quiet peace. Glory to God.
All the songs have different pictures, same song, but they all sound like the exact same choir. Probably been through 5 or 6. As I prefer some others rendering of this song. So what do I do?
