@colintaylor1653 was bloody nerve racking for dad lol the first day, but he's my son he just got into it,, funny he looks alot like me at 24yo when we were running a muck and he has my old leather pants, boots, jacket etc from those day's fits them almost as good as I did haha.

Would've been a good video EXCEPT you used fuckin AI voiceover!!! So I stopped watching 30sec in!!! WHY can't people just do a normal bloody HUMAN talking voiceover if they can't do a live commentary!?!?!? This AI bullshit is UNWATCHABLE it's sooo fuckin annoying to listen to!!!
@dazr123 yeah I've been testing out a new music site and the voice recorder on a new phone adding more commentary in a couple of places in this vids....just couldn't get the levels consistent, I won't be doing that again... Thanks for the feedback it's good to know, my helmet cam was to low as well it didn't get the top of the tree's or the smoke in the distance in alot of it...I got it right I think on the next series starting this Sunday.
@faze4hit lol yeah I've seen the movie..I've heard stories from the locals my favourite is there was an old lady with a shopping trolley that walked the area, one night she was hit by a truck and killed...even today track drivers say they have seen her spirit on the rd at night...

How long ago was this filmed? The goats are still a pain in the arse - along with the local town ferals. The problem with our wildlife is it makes it hard to relax when riding - Catch 22 situation. Anyway ... good vid 👍
@sidneysnottley6414 that was Christmas time so about 7 months ago. Yes wildlife on the rd is just a fact of life when riding the outback here, it's just something you always have to be prepared for all the time.
@chevyvictor Mad Max 2 was filmed all around the area where the museum is. Most of Mad Max 1 was filmed around Anakie, which is 5 minutes from where I live in Geelong.

you're a legend John We will be starting our North Island leg from your place as that's where we finished last time and really looking forward to some more country style cooking and even Len got into your home brew last time and he is a non-drinker so its good!. Owen will keep you posted when we set dates but we are looking at the last 2 weeks in Feb and will probably spend that first week in the South Island to get it out of the way as its the hardest one to plan with the dodgy fairies. Hopefully we arrive in day light with no bike issues this time lol.

Back then it was all about getting to the destination. It was good to be able to take our time and see the sights, experience the food...I Was having flashbacks when we stopped at the Albany pub tho lol.
You guys have to come over again as this is great for me as I get to have time with Owen great brother oh yes Owens bike is has its blanket for winter here so dry and warm will check the battery soon
We will be back in Feb next year Rob we still have a lot more touring to do. It's good to know Owen and I both have brothers there to take care of our bike's till we can get back.
yep Triumphs electrical problems and oil leaks I was having flash backs to the 80s My Triumph split a fork seal on our last day so I had and oil leak haha
Voice over is good possibly a little louder voice a little quieter music if you wanted to improve. The hills to the left on the desert road are my hunting area I took Owen for a hunt there a couple of years back.
That was funny you guys finding my place easily but my bro Owen pushing his bike half a mile down the road past me. I guess no head lights makes it hard :) Anyway you guys are welcome back anytime, individually or collectively even if you are just buzzing by drop in for a cuppa. Remember you still have the East cape ride to do and my place is the perfect start point for that. Give me some notice and there will be a brew made just for it and the Steers have reached maturity so maybe some steaks or a big roast beef. Cheers John
Yeah that was funny Owen pushing the bike half a km up the rd straight past your place. we are looking at coming next Feb to finish the North Island and some of the South so will definitly drop in when we do Gisbourne and round that coast.
