I'm a Do-It-Yourself kinda guy, so this channel is for all you other Do-It-Yourselfers! I am a Master Tinkerer and am always doing something. Join me as I work and maybe you will pickup on some information that will be helpful to you in your next project. Even if you don't tackle projects on your own, it might be interesting to watch the way I approach things. I do everything from carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and designing in SolidWorks. I'll even go over a few things I have created that are patented. If you like any of my videos, please, hit the Like Button and Subscribe. I will truly appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yeah it is pretty large and being that big created issues as I mentioned in the video. It's not over though as I have some ideas on how to modify it and hopefully get some tunes out of it. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it.
Man you did a great job on this! I have to do the same thing on my Keystone 5th Wheel. I'll be putting in a new skylight & using Enterabond around all my vents. Thanks for a great video. Looks like you used the 6 " roll of tape?
Hi thanks for watching and the very kind comments. I used some 6 around the edges of the roof and 4 around vents etc. If you haven't done so already please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it.
I just rebuilt mine again the last thing I took apart was the head all four valve seals had come off. If you clean and use the old filter the o-ring in the oil filter should be replaced the filter should fit snug on the nipple, I will get back with the size. The valve seals will come off I glued them on with super glue. I use the same kit you use and have had the seals to come off. I would like to know are they supposed to be that easy to push on? Why because it’s not normal they fit so easy, I don’t think so. The last kit I got from Fayetteville NC the timing belt was a bad fit a real bad fit. I would like to know where you got the info the chrome faced piston ring goes on the middle grove?. Just curious. To finish up I have never seen valve seals push on that easy are the oil scraper ring be chrome faced.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yeah that was a cool project that really turned heads both on the trailer and in the water. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I only built the thing for the one video so not too concerned now, but good advice thanks. If you haven't done so already please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. One of my early videos. I did like how simple it was to clip my helmet. Don’t have a bike any longer but do still have the helmet. I think you may have already but if not please consider subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. It was a good project and still works very well. The Samsung TV has held up through some extreme temperatures too. I think you may have already but if not please consider subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
I transplanted my finger sensor which didn't work very well either and so after I transplanted it on to this new screen then all of a sudden not only does it work consistently it works through a really thick flexible plastic screen protector from a 10 year old Kindle tablet.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. My finger sensor has never worked very well. I’m old and my fingers are worn pretty badly so that might be the problem with mine. I liked the Pixel 3’s because the sensor was on the back of the phone and I used a different finger. I think you may have already but if not please consider subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
So grateful for your video as it solved my problem when the plastic frame also needed to be removed. It would have been great if iFixit had included that in their installation guide.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I glad the video was helpful to you in some way. I think you may have already but if not please consider subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. That was a fun project for me and I am glad you liked the video I don't know what I would do without my little 3d printer! I use it regularly. Either way I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing and liking the video. I would really appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Thanks for the tip on the HDPE. The only flotation left in the boat is under the only seat left in the boat. It would go to the bottom I'm sure. Either way I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I really like the Eternabond and seems to hold up well too. I think you may have already but if not please consider subscribing . I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Hopefully it can help you in some way. I think you may have already but if not please consider subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
You should definitely finish this! You could potentially replace the tone bars with keys from a xylophone, or perhaps fabricate your own from aluminum or steel bar stock. The part that spins to regulate the speed is known as the Governor (it 'governs' the speed of the mechanism). It might require some trial and error, but I think you could get your current iteration to function properly.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I'm going to get back to the project at some point soon. I've had others recommend the xylophone bars too, so may be a good direction for me to try. I have some ideas on the governor as well. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I always try my best when working on or building things. If you haven't done so already please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. No I haven't considered that but it is a great idea! I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing! I would really appreciate it.
For the tone board, you can used a sheet of metal and regulars the actual note by adding weight to the tip (what you used the miter saw for) or reinforcing a strip near the base.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. That would help I’m sure. I think you may have already but if not please consider liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
I notice a lot of 3D printing dudes on youtube design their parts around slots and bolts with inset nuts. This could help reduce defects that come from the manual labor needed with the tools you have.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yeah 3D printing certainly has its benefits. Either way I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I'm going to get back to the project at some point soon. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it!
i have a shattered Google pixel 7a. just the glass is the problem. but after watching your video vs JUST a glass replacement, im wondering if I'll save myself time and aggravation by just replacing both, like you did here... thoughts?!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I'm going to get back to the project at some point soon. Good idea on xylophone bars. I'm also considering tubes like on a wind chime. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the very kind comments. I have some other ideas Im kicking around in my head. If you come up with an idea let me know. If I think I can accomplish it I may give it a go. Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I'm going to get back to the project at some point soon. Good idea on the still sheet. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yes it seems I do need to revisit it at some point. I have had others saying the same thing. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. It is still working great. Its been through some extreme temperature changes too. I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I probably could have but I feel the EternaBond is a better more permanent solution. I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yes I agree with you. RU-vid can make or break content creators. I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yeah, governor would have been a much better way to describe it. I learned a lot from this project. I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments, especially "Jesus Love you". The world needs Jesus badly right now. I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Maybe maple for the tone board and probably much thinner. The regulator could in fact be used at scale with modification. Possibly a simple adjustable drag brake. The spring was my only initial thought of worry, scaled it would be highly difficult and dangerous. Not to mention difficult to obtain a flat coil spring that could preload enough energy and power to move the mass of the drum. The project as a whole is there, I mean close though, would love to see you revisit this after awhile. Great start!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I learned a lot of things building this project. The spring was a concern for me and I knew the difficulty of building or sourcing a spring like that. One idea I had for the spring was to tie the drum shaft to a much smaller drum, say 4 inches in diameter. I would wrap around that drum with something like a seatbelt strap. I would then use two large extension springs that would pull the strap. This would also require a one-way coupling between the two drums. The coupling would allow you to wind the thing up as you wouldn't be able to spin everything backwards otherwise. I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I have the feeling that most RV's are poorly built unless you get into the $100k units. I've owned several and to be honest they are mostly junk. Their goal is to make them look good while hiding poor craftmanship. I think you may have already but if not please consider Liking and Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. I really appreciate you asking me that as I pride myself in trying to fix anything. I think I just have a knack for it. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Well done video. I have a 2000 and just replaced the conventional rad & thermostat, so on mine it's simply an unpressurized plastic overflow tank. My neighbour just bought one that appears to be a sister to your's but his engine bay seems totally stuffed compared to mine. Prudent 50-50 weight distribution with a tiny non-leaking battery in the trunk is A-OK too!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. We're the 2000's built like mine with the pressurized plastic tank? I don't know much about the version of Miata. Either way I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. It was the iFitIt kit. I think you may have already, but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yes, it did for me. I think it's key to clean the areas very well before sticking the stuff down. Once it's stuck, it's stuck. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Let me know how it goes for you and good luck. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hey! Thanks for watching and the comments. I really appreciate it. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
I am getting ready to replace 80 year old siding ( it did not leak) with vinyl and I too am concerned water will not return to the outside along the windows etc. . The standard way to install at ends of vinyl siding seems very risky and leaks are likely, almost certain. I like your idea but want to go further as water can still run behind the siding and could end up running off the vinyl to the wall. I don't like hoping and praying to prevent leaks. (which god should i pray too for leak prevention?) I want to be positive no water can enter the wall so I get at least 30 years on trash bag siding.
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. The way my windows were designed in an effort to eliminate the "J" channel around us horrible. As you could see there was no way that they wouldn't leak. I think that within a few years there will be huge lawsuits regarding vinyl siding. The installers really don't care and know they won't be anywhere around when problems start showing for home owners. Either way I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing and hitting the like button. I would really appreciate it.
First I’ve seen where someone removes the plastic side piece that covers the screws. Looks like you lined up the tape with the bottom of the channel for the plastic trim. ?? I’m doing it this weekend. Been iffy about sticking the tape on that plastic trim. I’m gonna remove it and lay it on like you did. Thanks for posting!
Hi thanks for watching and the comments. Yeah, my thoughts are the screws going thru the aluminum channel are an excellent source for a leak. They penetrate thru the extrusion and thru the roofing material. Usually there is only a small bead of caulk that seals the top edge of the extrusion. I pulled out the plastic strip that covers the screws and covered them with the tape. It might choke down the small gutter a little but they clog easily anyway. Good luck with your project. I think you may have already but if not please consider Subscribing. I would really appreciate it.
Hum, that's really odd. Do you have them turned the same direction as they were when you removed them? Is the crank pushed completely into the case? If you didn't get the crankshaft completely back into the case the rods might be binding when you tighten them down.
@@NINEPOINTFIVEPROJECTS I do have them the same direction they were removed along with the marks lined up. I will double check to make sure I have the crank pushed all the way in and I will let you know. Thanks for your help.
As I remember you can move the 2 idler pulleys by hand to get enough slack in the belt. I believe they move outwards away from the center of the mower.
