I wonder if the cause of this is wearing those stupid gloves? Much better to wear tight fitting leather, or imitation leather gloves, as with the gloves he was wearing you lose all sensation of what you are trying to grab.
As stated in another comment, I hope this was an error in translation. This guy had the presence of mind to remember he had a cypres, but couldn’t remember how to execute emergency procedures, which should be muscle memory. Not good
Had my Cypres fire off @ 1,400ft AGL, while main canopy was still deploying…Scared the “ba-Jesus” outta me, but my training kicked in & cut-away main to fly reserve to the ground! Always make sure you check your calibration on those things…It was an extremely humid day & a “newb” in our group caused me to have to deploy much lower than usual to avoid him!! 🪂
There are two kinds of people. One, will say everything "went so fast" and the other will say, everything slowed down. The latter can skydive for a life time safely. The former... well... shouldn't skydive or be a police officer, if we're being blunt.
I'm puzzled as to why he cutaway the main, especially if he couldn't find the pc handle. There's an open debate about whether to cutaway or not from a pc in tow, but with no pc out he was wide open to punch silver. I guess sometimes under stress we just do the wrong thing. Thank goodness for modern AADs !
Im puzzled by his EP method. not 2-handed, and 1 handed without having left-hand on reserve before cutting away. we dont know if it was a total Mal or a bag lock based on the video.
I trusted Cypress when I jumped. Dislocated my arm in FF at 4k at once point and luckily was able to pull the reserve. Still, glad to know Cypress was there as a last resort.
I once had a high speed malfunction (bag lock) and was able to get the reserve open by about 1400ft probably a second before the AAD fired. Altitude goes away real quick.
Thank you cypress. I got to learn more about my own life saving equipment (i have a cypress in my rig) at the perris fresh meet 2023. This video is so fucking scary I dont have proper words. I also do not have proper words for the relief of seeing his aad go off and save him. Holy fuck holy fuck holy fuck. Thank you for the lives youve saved and the work that goes into each and every device. I hope I never NEED mine, but Im very thankful i have it.

I have had a lot of respect for your company for some time and it's a shame that you have this video on here. I get that you were trying to be respectful of others health, but there's enough evidence out that Covid was the largest scam on the economy in every country, violated citizens rights and was used as a weapon to turn the people against each other. If there's any decency left in this world, I hope your staff find the time to remove this video and that we as humans can investigate the actions of our government more clearly after what was done to us.
