Bula Vinaka Brother, its so good to see you well. How are you? Do you need a chainman haha Keep well brother. Send me an email if you're free. still the same email address. Vinaka vakalevu
Excellent video. I have a few questions: Was the intent of that to perform a check on the gyro reference? Or to provided real time direction as they bore? If it is just a check, how often do you perform those? Were all of your set ups force centred? Or are you leaving evidence, either on the bottom, or top of the pipe, so that you could occupy those points again? (I was thinking a Leica SNLL321 would be handy for setting/checking nadir points.)
From 00:40 to 00:50 it sure looks like your tribrach extends well-off the edge of the tripod on that setup....are you a land surveyor? I'm guessing no.....
I am. Good spotting and thanks for going through the whole video without skipping As long as the setup is centred to the mark that’s all the matters. I notice you are not a content producer, try it and let me know how you do while you have to film, do your normal tasks and at the same time interacting with clients and your team
You cannot precisely convert any coordinates to "WGS84". The precise definition of WGS84 is unknown so therefore shifting from it to/from another datum is problematic. If you want to use worldwide coordinates then you should be using ITRF or IGS. The likelihood is that you are already... you just are incorrectly referring to them as "WGS84".
Very shit job, who the f*ck intal GNSS antenna on swinging pole? Typical amateurs. An these wrong length antennas in the package, it should be 1/4 wavelength antenna no them piece of shit steel rods.
Phantom 4 pro makes GCP=1cm from 36,5m altitude above ground. Typical flight is on 70m AGL (above ground level). So GSD (ground sample distance) is 2cm. It gives 2cm horizonal and 4cm vertical accuracy. If you compare 2 flights it is root square of 2 multiplied by accuracy - so if point clouds from 2 different flights are no more than √2*2*GSD in this case 5,5cm from eachother it means the data is OK.

can you show the result of post processing with Phantom 4 RTK?
Via a firmware update, the Phantom 4 RTK can now support custom terrain models in the flight planning stage. This will resolve the issue on large sites, such as this, where there are large variations in terrain height.
Piks 09 we have 3 sets of batteries (4000mAh x6) and our payload is Sony a7r camera. Each set can only fly 12min max in favourable condition ,wind speed less than 15km/hr, to land it safely without pushing the batteries limit. 11 batteries is great but you need to consider the manufacturer flight time limit as it may overheat.
@@cosmograne I remove the CrystalSky and use the Cendence mobile device mount. DJI Pilot now offers flight planning on CrystalSky. Pix4D capture is also another option on the CrystalSky.
