Hi all... Is there Elmer's school glue alternative? In my country Elmer's glue is more expensive than TiO2. I don't wanna use cornstarch because it can block my drains.
just finished making the jig and fitted to my Sculpfun S9 without any changes needed. because I only had 3mm ply I had to cut extra pieces to gain the height to clear the honeycomb. Thanks again for the jig.
I'm getting bubbles. Cant get rid of them. Shake it hard or shake it light. I get bubbles and they dry as bubbles and cause ugly black dots whereever a bubble is when engraved. Any idea why? I double checked your video again and i mixed it the same way as you. I have no clue why its doing this. 🤷♂️
bang on work , there mate i love it , i have a sculpfun s9 5w , what settings for speed and laser would you suggest , as i can't seem to find what laser you are using , keep up the good work , thank you from the uk.
thanks for posting this. As I pedal builder, I am looking to start using a laser engraver for my boutique pedals. I have a 10 W Ortur and I typically use powder coated enclosures. What settings did you use to do this? That pedal looks fantastic!
Well the settings were off a little bit but here is what I used. This was with a 6w laser. I used 5000 mm/m and 45% power. I should have used a little less power or faster speed for better results.
Does anyone know if this would work on powder coat on an aluminum guitar pedal enclosure? I am looking for a way to laser etch my guitar pedal graphics and I am wondering if this technique would work on that, or does this only work on tile?
Haven't tried it but I think it will work. At the end of this video I put some art on a distortion pedal that was painted. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WvwoD_dwG1o.html
@@lasersandsaws thanks. One day we will have the technology to get solid white or alpha background generated for content from prompts alone, but I guess not yet.
About 4 minutes 30 seconds into this video, your test grid is shown. Several of the squares have vertical bars in them. I have noticed this in my test grids on tile as well. Do you know what causes this?
This looks really good but the TiO2 should really be in weight. Usually liquids in volume, solids in weight. For example, 150 ml water, 50 ml glue, X grams Ti02. Also, this way, you don't have to run the material test grid every time since the recipe is exactly the same everytime.
What is you laser model and head "w" output? I have atomstack a10pro and my modul output is 10- 11W 12V 3A, can I use same 24V 5A power supply like in your video as I have the same problem
I had all the same issues. Was about to give up. I saw somewhere that another possible solution was to reinsert the SD card in the frame. When I tried that I missed the slot and the tiny SD card slipped inside the frame. I said what the heck it hasn't worked 5 months so I took it apart, took out the SD card , reinserted, put it all back and wow it works. Something so simple. Take out and reinsert SD card.
Great video! I've done rocks with limited success. I've never used the TIO2 on them. I have the TIO2 that I use on white tiles. I can't wait to try this out!
Thanks for the video and your efforts:) By the way, the term "school glue" and the picture of the bottle do not make any sense, as they are the same as "Elmer's," "Kids Glue," and "Whatevershop-orbrandname glue" found in a nearby village store. Instead, would be great to hear the glue is simple PVA (Polyvinyl acetate), but not "Mr Proper glue". Thanks. I constantly see that many people don't care to mention components properly to avoid misunderstandings and mix, for example, acrylic and nitro or oil substances in one. Another part of RU-vidrs thinks that all people in the world live in the US or at least must have the same-brand shop in their surroundings, whatever they are - Tokyo, Paris or Olinda in Brasil:)
Hi there! Thanks for the video. Can you give me some advise please? I have also tried the method. Immediately after lasering it looks nice, but after rinsing the image is ruined. I tested the best settings and let everything dry thoroughly. What am I doing wrong? Is the method only suitable for a diode laser or also for a co2 laser? I have a Co2 laser, this could be the issue. Thanks Barry
you just took away the whole point of using imag-r when you change the settings in lightburn it nulls out anything you did in Imag-r unless you click on passthrough. just a tip! Love your work!
