I have one and it works great. After cutting, it requires raking up the pads and roots that float. Same concept of throwing the rake on a rope. I tie wrapped a kids float noodle to the rake section and used a pipe insulation tube on the handle so the rake floats. I have cleared 30 wheel barrel loads this summer and my swim/dock area looks great.
I have watched other videos (even some by your company) this is the only one that shows the best/proper way to use the tool. All the others just showed a constant pull back in, effectively just "topping" the weeds, not getting them close to the bottom. Let it sink, jerk it about a foot, let it sink, jerk it, sink, jerk, repeat. Works great when used correctly.
Having just tried one, it looks like they are just "topping" the weeds by pulling too fast. I let it sink as far as it can, jerk it about a foot, let it sing again, jerk it, sink, jerk... It cuts way closer to the bottom, getting more of the weed. At least that it what it seems like to me.
weed razor works great. You people need to come up with a 30 foot option for a rake. Cutting them is one thing. I just did 2 football fields in a lake. now trying to get the out of the lake is impossible without some huge rake that prevents them from floating around a small rake and back where they came from.
This sucker is an AWESOME tool! Yes, it works very well. However, it is not very effective on cat tails. It will cut them but you'll have to yank pretty hard to get it thru.
what they dont tell you is , most weeds have some sort of seed on them, so when you cut them off you now have spread the weed to even further areas. While I love it, it caused me more work than I ever wanted...
They shouldn’t have to tell you that. That’s down to you to decide how you are dealing with that type of weed. Can’t blame others for your lack of judgement
In addition to this, you need to regularly remove bottom sediments. This can be done with a motor pump for dirty water with a suction nozzle Bagermaster
