Very confident in its ability in roughish seas. This video of mine shows it’s handling in such a sea Please excuse the loud music 🙄 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iqbahg2pmQI.htmlsi=e_vO0f4gxn_1ovvp
@@CLOWNUK I did a load of videos about 4 years ago along the river Dart on my Honwave t38 from Totnes and out to sea. Conditions that day weren’t to bad. Here’s one of them. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-98KXD0kGJPQ.htmlsi=pQtCnEvXyWth7zDj
Hi. It has an 85hp Nanni engine. Not sure about the consumption as it depends if the hull is clean or not and how fast you want to travel. I can happily crawl along all day and it’s very cheap to run. Obviously the faster you go it’ll use more fuel. I found this answer on the Avor Facebook site. Not sure how accurate it is though. Scott Willis I’m sure there’s a general rule that is 1 litre per hour per 100 Revs so 2400rpm 24 litres per hour
Hi Tommo, I’m based in Hampshire. I just spent a few days down after dropping of the Mrs off In Exeter. Can’t resist going to Berry Head first thing in the morning 👍
@@fat_tommo_goes_boating I had a long walk around Dartmouth and Brixham. My legs are still killing me 🙄😂 Another video of that to come. Off out tomorrow on the boat. ⚓️
Not at all. In fact you can buy just about any size boat in the Uk and not need a licence. If you use a radio then really you should have a licence. Hope that helps
I'm not sure whether this has 2500 HP Caterpillar motors or 3200 HP MTU motors, but it just shows she can get off her arse and up to speed pretty quickly.
It’s a Severn class lifeboat. Just found these specs on the internet. 2 × Caterpillar 3412 TA diesel engines, 1,250 hp (932 kW) each or 2 x MTU 10V2000 M94 engines; 1,600 hp (1,193 kW) (after re-engining) UBW 195 V reverse-reduction gearbox 2.03:1 ratio 5,500 litre (1,200 imperial gallons) fuel capacity 👍
Hi, I'm the volunteer Lifeboat Operations Manager at Tobermory. Thank you so much for sharing this video. There is no finer sight that our Severn class heading out at full pelt. Not sure why our engines were so smoky that day! Quite often our shouts are not time sensitive but that one was - as you can tell by the crew running. Hope you had a great time in Tobermory and thanks again for sharing. If you are back on Mull, do give us a shout and pop in for a brew. Cheers, Sam
Hi Sam. The Severn class certainly is an amazing lifeboat. The power is incredible. We had a lovely but very short day in Tobermory. It was my first trip to Scotland and certainly will not be my last. I’ll certainly keep you to that brew when I come back. Hats off to you and the crew for all the fine work you do. Gary
for a strong tow on my t32 tie two ropes on eye bolts of transom then put through side eyes then onto front of honwave so most of strains on transom . nice vid such a great size of boat
Been a bit lazy with the camera lately Chris 🙄 Going to repair a load of punctures on the Honwave and get that out at some point. Some of my subscribers are missing those types of videos 👍
Hi Graham. In my opinion both are ideally suited. The 2stroke 9.9 Yamaha which is converted to 15hp is more than powerful enough for two fat buggers 😂 and the 3.8m Honwave has enough room for what I use it for. The 2stroke is lighter than an equivalent 4stroke. 👍
Great video. I saw you on the water on your 'Day 2'. I was fishing from the little honwave. I only had one Bass all day,. The fishing was slow but the weather and conditions were fantastic.
Hiya mate. Yes I did see you. Must get my Honwave back on the water before winter sets in. I couldn’t believe there was no bass that day apart from the tiny one I caught 🙄 Angling addict 75 has had the same luck lately 😳👍
Great film and so interesting to see inside. Occasionally they come as far north as Shetland(where I live) but I can't believe he said "The Orkneys"!!.
