One of the reasons for the rot comes from the concrete pad at the door being too high, which allows water to splash up underneath. Sticky window/door flashing tape about 5 inches wide should be run around the door opening first. Then metal flashing applied so it sticks out onto the concrete under the door threshold. Then another layer of sticky flashing tape over the metal flashing at the door frame. Caulking also where you've shown at the bottom of the door. You might also want to check the downpipe and gutters to make sure they are clear. Would be a good idea if possible to route the downpipe away from being next to the doorway.
The warranty calls for 3 screws but what I do because fascia screw are ass is I like to pre drill but took a combination square drilled holes in it so everytime I pre drill it's in the same holes everytime
No.. it needs to be placed on something that is on the ground. Putting it directly in the ground on an installation like this risks rot and jeopardizes structural integrity. It's no better than what he's already doing if you place it in the ground.
What a great communicator. Nobody knows what you are talking about. I think he is taking about start boards on the same side for boards on top and bottom of the video screen. Isn't that common sense, Einstein?
I have 3 different styles of these lol I have 1 of the 2 prong, a 4 prong and a 2 prong with wheels on the back. Definitely a life saver when you need it
The demo deckmate bar is better, you pull instead of push! Pushing is a hazard due to the fact that you can fall forward to where there’s no boards and fall through…but if you’re pulling back you got boards behind you still and it’s super fast
This is absolutely the incorrect installation process! The locking system needs to go together at an angle, then you take a couple taps to make sure the locking is fully in place. Installing lvp like this will break the locking system, and no manufacturer will warranty the floor
