Why are you in germany Wendy? Why should germans smile, when they see you? Are you a qualified hard working employee re do you get social benefits, germans have to work for. Germans do not need your aproval, its the other way round. Explain and justify your presents in germany.
@@SaiKumar-tj1qx No you do not need to write any exam to be awarded the DAAD scholarship. However, few schools in Germany might require that you write an exam before giving you an admission…which is rare. So if one of chosen universities require an exam to grant an admission, then you might need to write an exam
Hi I want to know that for daad scholarship epos do i need to submit separate motivational letters or same for applying to 3 courses . I am confused as in the checklist its written this : If you are applying for more than one master’s or PhD course: Please rank the courses in order of preference, i.e. why is your first choice of course your first choice, why is your second choice your second choice and so on. For each choice of course please provide clear reasons why you think it will advance you academically and professionally. You must provide the same letter of motivation to all courses you are applying for. please explain me this statement
Hi Maryam Yes, you‘ll need 3 motivational letters…however you‘ll need to explain why you made each course your first, second, and third choice in each of your letters.
Specifying reasons why you want to pursue each of the 3 program in your motivational letter You’re basically submitting 3 motivational letters with the same content I hope this helps!
It feels a bit weird that people are shocked a black person would come to Germany to study. In my experience the most common ways a black person came to Germany is either for study, American or Brits that served here as soldiers and decided to stay, or be abuse they were born here and are children of any of the people mentioned before. While you don’t see many black people in Germany, foreign students at university are quite common.
No Yes NO Colonge Cathedral is not worth a visit if you are in the area, go the cathedral is literally right next to the train station the Eibsee (without the extra See (the lake in German is called See as in EibSEE)) is a nice lake to visit Castle Neuschwarnstein is a nice castle but there are around 25,000 castles and manor houses in Germany and many that are supposedly more beautiful if you want to visit Germany go and look at old cities there are endless dreamlike cities or go hiking in the Alps, the Harz Mountains or the Eifel Mountains or around the Mecklenburg Lake District or in the Black Forest touchable history lessons in Berlin Industrial revolution in the Ruhr area the North Sea or the Baltic Sea various wine regions pub crawl in Cologne or Düsseldorf Beer tour in a German-style brewery and of course the stereotypical German vacation in Munich with beer, bratwurst and pretzels Germany has no special attractions like Paris with the Eifel Tower we have a country that is worth exploring
I live less than an hour away from Eibsee. It's pretty cool there Btw. It's "Neuschwanstein" not "Neuschwan". And it's not "lake Eibsee" it's just "Eibsee". Because "See" is german for "lake". Would be like saying "lake michigan lake"
Hi Wendy, i just came across your video, its such a great video for those planning to come study in Germany. Is there any way i can reach you privately?
I've understood that it's just a cultural difference...some cultures believe it's weird/rude to stare, while others don't attach anything to staring. It's totally understandable! And thank you for watching!

I've seen multiple discussions in expatriates' forums that discuss "The German Stare", so I suppose that Germans really _do_ stare a lot when compared to other cultures.
Hi, click on the link below to see the list of available courses. I am sure you’ll find a couple of social science or management related courses. 👇🏼 static.daad.de/media/daad_de/pdfs_nicht_barrierefrei/in-deutschland-studieren-forschen-lehren/daad_epos_-_deadlines_2025_26.pdf
Wendy, could you please look into normalize the volume levels? Sometimes the volume is so low it is hard to follow you and in other videos - like this one - you are getting blasted from the chair 😵
I really appreciate that you noticed that about the volume levels of my videos. I‘ll definitely have that in mind when making my next videos. Thank you!
Don't place your receipts for returning bottle on the conveyor belt. The may fall into the crack where the belt ends neat the cashier. The belt does not recognize the receipt and just continues running until the next items blocks the light beam and your receipts are gone. ;)
Oh ok The DAAD Scholarships are aimed at Bachelor’s graduates, doctoral students and post docs. However, the person can apply to SBW Berlin Scholarship - it is available for bachelor’s students And the Erasmus Scholarship is also available to students pursuing a bachelor degree The person can apply to these two if he/she meets the requirements
I am enjoying your videos, do you know any scholarships like the one you just mentioned but for bachelor's degree for people in Sub-Saharan Africa? last thing, can I contact you via email?
Hi, DAAD Scholarships are aimed primarily at Bachelor’s graduates, doctoral students and post docs. However, you can apply to SBW Berlin Scholarship - it is available for bachelor’s students And the Erasmus Scholarship is also available to students pursuing a bachelor degree

It is not advisable! However, you can use it temporarily to make your applications, only if you’re certain that your Bachelor’s certificate will be available when you finally get admitted.
I tend to stare at people with braids, because I only see braids on TV. I’m curious to see them up close, that’s it. As for the rest…be polite and friendly and nobody cares who you are and what you look like. Just don’t act like a d**k and play the racism card when we check you. That’s annoying as hell. Yes, we will ask where you’re from, but we also ask other Germans what part or state in Germany they come from. We ask everyone.
