Your hair is beautiful! So tell me, how long do you keep your protective style in your head… weeks/ months? How often do you wash and deep condition within that time? Thanks so much for sharing! Be blessed
@shernaturally

I tend to keep my protective style in for a long time. For instance I like to keep braids for 6 weeks or longer. I wash and treat my hair while wearing them. I’ll wash once or twice while wearing braids.

If you don’t have coconut oil, grape seed oil, almond oil and the likes, can one use pears baby oil because that’s what I have at the moment

Hmmmmm. I don’t like the idea of putting that oil on your hair. I think you should try an oil that is often used for hair care

I use the kids sulfur 8 because yellow jar Smell is too strong and some people including myself are sensitive to smells. It works well for me yes it’s for kids but it’s gentle for everyone. Try it you may like it. Do what works and is best for you.

I agree with you. A group of scientists and chemists did a comedogenic test on Vaseline , mineral oil, and hair grease. And it turns that vaseline and hair grease is none comedogenic which means it does not clog pores. The natural hair community lied about hair grease.

I may start watching this routinely when I do my hair, so that I have positive affirmations in the background while I take care of her. I’ll play it once all the way through as like a prayer; or something similar, yknow? Like a mantra. Idk. 😅something like that. Your voice and energy is so soothing in this.

Omg you guys know how to hype me up! Thanks for the love 😊😊🙏🏿🙏🏿 these are things I learned on my journey. We have to learn to speak positively about our natural hair. We have to start undoing all the damage that was done when we were kids: being told our hair was ugly and dry and no good. We have to start by speaking life into ourselves.

The first 30 seconds of this video were so nostalgic...reminds me of the early natural videos that drew us all in with pictures. I went natural in 2007. Picture slide show videos (journey videos from )2007-2009 were so influential and definitely helped push forth the natural hair movement. It was journey videos first...then came the tutorials, recipes, etc.. Congratulations on your growth and health...your hair is flourishing!

Hey Sher, your hair looks so thick and beautiful. It's such a pleasure to discover a fellow Jamaican. I stumbled on one of your videos yesterday and I'm on a second one today which is this one☺️. I love your hair and content❤❤❤. I find that Moisturizing and detangling your hair properly the day or night before wash day and washing in smaller twist helps significantly with the tangles. I use to wash my hair in that size twist and it just gave me more detangling to do and much frustration so yep that might be the prob hun🙏
@shernaturally
@shernaturally Год назад
Hi Crissy, you’re so kind and encouraging. Thank you for watching my videos. Your words of encouragement are gassing me up to edit and post new videos lol. I love seeing my Jamaican sisters on here too. I love looking at your hair because it reminds me of what my hair would look like if I were in that tropical climate where the hair is moist and elastic. My hair has changed a lot since I’ve come to Canada, thanks to the water and weather here. And yes, you are right I find that washing in smaller, even tighter plaits are great because my hair has got to the point where big twists just unravel under the water. I just checked out your channel and i really looks how u tell stories. I’m a new sunnier☺️ keep up the great work and I know you’ll hit the 1,000 subs really soon❤️❤️🇯🇲

I’ve grown to appreciate my 4c hair. I do a lot of protective styles and I get really excited when it’s time to take it down. Have a goal for your hair and plan around that goal. That will help you appreciate it more. My goal is length.
