my car battery went dead while bleeding my brakes. After i finished the brake flush, i jumped the engine but then immediately the check engine light turned on. I went to autozone and code ABS malfunction and traction off showed up on dash. not knowing what to do, i removed the battery, check engine light turned off for now but for how long?
YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN UNDER CAR LAY ON YOO BACK FEED THE LINE IN THE FILL PORT WITH A LONG HOSE WHILE SOMEONE POUR IN THE TRANSMISSION OIL WITH A FUNNEL AND THE HOSE FROM THE TOP OF THE ENGINE BAY THEM SHOULD HAVE CHECKED IT TWICE ON THE DIP STICK OR FILL DRAIN BOLT AFTER THE RADIATOR FANS KICKED ON AT LEAST 3 CYCLES TO MAKE SURE THE OIL WAS AT TEMPERATURE GOOD LUCK NEXT TIME
Great video! Are you able to confirm whether the new wider screen stretches the factory Lexus software? Or does the software adjust its screen ratio? The font looked a little stretched when you weren’t in Apple CarPlay
If you are in the OEM screen an listen Radio, do you see the radio information in the pop-up screen left from the RPM tachometer also ? In my case (same Car, same Lexion) that dont work.
You handled that pretty well , I kept replaying the part when you were going a little faster than normal and you took more of wide turn then turning right again and then you broke . But imo, you handled that skid out pretty good. I think you lost traction as you were hitting that turn. Thank God you're alive though. Sorry about the car and crash even though this is old now.
I wish I knew about RC F more back in 2023, I would have got the 2022 with CF + TVD. I bought an IS 500, the 2UR and 8Spd are solid but the chassis is not up to the mark for the engine as when I test drove an RC F it completely caught me off guard how damn comfortable these seats are and the chassis is very rigid. The problem with 2023+ cars is Lexus gutted them bad. They removed Memory seat from 2022, they removed the Bracing from engine bay, they removed TVD option. They also removed the Auto-tilt mirrors in reverse as well. I don't mind the memory and auto tilt but that brace is really special, for a reason they had it since 2015 and they yanked it off. Shame. I wish I can get a good RC F, I tried BAT but no luck as of now. I'll wait or bite soon. I want to play with that TVD and the car itself.
Bro just found your page. Awesome page. I too got the rc 350 f sport first not knowing there was an F. So i do feel you on that. I still got the rc 350 f sport. So far I've done only interior mods and Cold air intake by AFE Takada
Lexus removed it from 2023 Models onwards, what a shame Lexus has become. I'm really pissed off because my IS 500 has bumper sagging problem and I read a lot about it, before esp that Motorfrontier article about it and dude got banned on Clublexus because he used 2 accounts but his article was solid, and now the RC F they downgraded it a lot, no TVD no Chassis brace, no driver memory. Shame on Lexus for ruining the legacy of Yaguchi and Lexus F division. Oh the IS 500 and 350 both exhibit it plus Lexus North America put a stupid TSB that ruins the 3IS bumper just read how BS that is, they are using glue, ziptie, epoxy to hamfist a fix and it ruined bumpers for those who went to dealership to get it done on their sagging bumpers.
Nice video, I just got my aircups and installing it myself, the only thing is I'm leaving it exposed in trunk so I can easily access the drain port for condensation draining, I also want to install a water/oil seperator before tank!
Did the shifters you purchased come with the assembly? I purchased something different but requires the OE paddles to be removed by pushing the retaining pin out
This is a 2 person job like this without getting air in the system… one pumps the brake and then the other closes the valve then release the brakes and repeat… that simple
Have you ever had to change out a transmission speed input sensor? Trying to figure out the exact location of it if you could help me figure it out bud.
Hey man, sorry to comment on a 3yo video but I just got a 2019 RC350 and I'm looking to do this to get wireless android auto. Did you notice any rattle noises after installing this? Either while just cruising or when turning up the volume? Also, did you notice any difference in sound quality after installing this head unit?
Thank you very much for your time and your video! The unit looks pretty cool but, I might be a little "naive" or somethin, but I prefer putting a little more bucks into a fresher Lexus rather than installing an unofficial unit that hasn't passed the QC tests of Toyota, that has an unknown lifespan, uknown conflicts with other elements of the car, etc. And as you said: "it drains my battery", "you have to install another tochpad", "the music doesn't work", "put the wire here, there", "it's laggy", etc. etc. Just put a phone holder, connect to Bluetooth and you're done 🙂
Just bought an RCF last week. My absolute must haves were the Mark Levinson sound system , triple beam headlights, and moon roof. I get stopped everyday that I drive it asking what kind of car it is. My choices were a C63s or RCF. Do not regret my decision
