I have 2022 lm2 duramax. Had p1089 a few times so far. Dealer replaced both fuel pumps but I’m reading that this fuel rail pressure sensor may be the issue. Codes drive me nuts have more codes on this duramax in a month than I had on my ram hemi 1500 for 13 years
This was first video I found with detailed installation, thank you so much. To be honest, I decided to go with the Curt brand because I felt their product was better with the connectors and all!!
Bro, that's a kind of rubber cement. If you pull it away, you can just press the glue back together, and you're good to go! Oh, and no knife necessary. I didn't know how to get the handle loose though, so thanks for the video!
Bought my first "new to me" diesel pick-up. I can say that your videos have been the most helpful in my education in diesel maintenance and repairs. Thank you!
It looks like I've either lost number five injector or injector connector, do you have any tips as to how to get access to that side of the engine? I'm not having any luck.
I converted my 2016 and 2021 duramax oil filters to caterpillar filter. I really felt safe with them because of smaller filtration and no by pass valve. I am waiting on a conversion for my 2024 l5p duramax and will make the change again.
My 2024 just did this same exact think on Monday the dealer is putting new fuel rails because they claim it’s the fuel pressure sensors they ordered the whole rail because just the sensors are on back order they say my truck has the latest software update and there’s no new ones. It was saying service emmisions and all that and shutoff and had 48miles till E
so I have the bigger stock filter on my 2020 l5p and ordered the Amsoil filter. When I received it, it was just as small as your stock filter on your 24. I sent them a email asking if I got the wrong one and they said Chevy did a service bulletin and changed them all to that small size. Strange they would do that, I want the most filter media as possible.
Wow glad I found this video crazy I’m in the exact same situation currently with a buddies new 23 Denali only 30k miles on it deleted and tuned not sure what tune another shop flashed it a when he first got the truck and had it built . He was driving at night and all a sudden blew oil all out everywhere and smoking terribly from exhaust I’ve been diagnosing it for 2 days now and didn’t wanna believe it could be blown up either being so new and low miles ext it’s deff has atleast one cracked piston has missfire ton of blow by and ccv pushing oil into air intake and then turbo pushing it out threw I.c pipe and eventually sucked threw intake manifold and threw the motor causing the insane amount of white smoke from exhaust I also thought it had to be shown turbo or something aswell but came to same conclusion as you just now that it’s deffinetely blown up unfortunately I’ll have to compression test it to be 110% positive but theirs no other explanation for the amount of blow by and it blowing all the oil out of the motor and constant heavy smoking ext crazy I thought these newer duramax motors weee supposed to be great lol
Doesn’t look like the new by pass plug has a nose where you can ever pull it out. Seems like it would be impossible to put the factory one back in, if need be.
Jb weld your stock intercooler for time being, I know it’s an old video, I Jb welded my stock lb7 intercooler top and bottom and sides, With a s476sxe/87/1.1 About 60-65 psi. Been holding for 25, 000 miles so far with that turbo, Also revs to 4800rpm, 145, 000 miles on truck. I’m impressed that stuff works from not blowing a hole thus far. Just ordered a bd cool it 2 5/8” thick intercooler. Core is a complete 1” thicker. When time comes.
