My NEW 2024 Duramax BROKE DOWN And Left Me Stranded! (**1,400 Miles**) 

Had this happen to me twice on my new 2024 High Country Chevy duramax...was the first to receive the ECM update...seems to have fixed the issue...Oh, just a heads up!...if this happens, you don't need to tow it!...just disconnect the main battery on the passenger side of the truck...wait 30 seconds and reconnect...the truck will start and allow you to drive it to the dealer for the update.

Its the wheels and tires thats on it.

If you read the manual. By you pressing the start button you are initiating the fuel filter prime sequence as if you just changed the fuel filter. If you have the key fov in your pocket - once you open the door the body control module senses the fob and starts the lift pump all by itself - stop holding the start switch

Mine just left me stranded too. The good news is I still have my 2007 Duramax lbz with 250K that has not once left me stranded. I was going to sell it but maybe I'll need it to get home on occasion! Geez!

The truck was so embarrassed about the stupid wheels on it that it voluntarily went into limp mode...... Good thing there wasn't cliff near by to drive off of....

2024 gm/chevy trucks have sensors/electronic/emissions issues....gm needs to do a major recall. I like the zr2 hd...but i ordered a 2024 F350 Tremor high output powerstroke....best heavy duty truck imo

What Mods did you do to it? It seems the guys that post these issues have made major mods. I have a new 2024 Chevy LTZ with 1100 miles and I have no issues🤞post the mods you made and be honest. The last three posts that had issues with their trucks came clean. One did Intake mod, one did a deletion and another had so many mods, I can’t list them all. Leave them the way they are built and designed and you will have far less of these issues. The problem is everyone is a diesel expert and really have no idea how these complex computers work! In fact, the seasoned diesel mechanics are still trying to figure it out! Forget about the RU-vid experts!

Same issues here with my 2024 Chevy 2500 HD LTZ Duramax. Happened several times starting at 200 miles. Software update somewhat fixed the problem, but rough transmission shifts. At 2200 miles after all that drivetrain grinding when the failures happened (went into limp mode)... I now have a transmission leak. In the shop now and parts are on back order. This brand and dealer I used is CRAP! They can't give a crap about this issue from a $87K truck! I am so ANGRY!

Happen to mine it happen to be the injector lift pump

I have seen this too, on more than one truck. The fix was to pull the positive lead off from the battery, for a bit and put the lead back on. Something to do with resetting the computer. If You research this on RU-vid, it will come up. Not just on HD trucks but midsizes too. Hope this helps.

I saw a video in which the gas pedal was the issue. It was slightly depressed which caused the engine not to start.

Sadly, you are the second video I have seen with a 24 that left someone stranded just this week.

Man, I thought the random losing trailer brakes and trailer connections while towing were bad on my 2020 2500hd Diesel LTZ (but Chevrolet says, "It's working as designed"), *this* is even worse...

Maybe you should've kept the stock wheels on it instead of putting them heavy ass wide rims on it. Wheels like that can fuck up the hole truck. Trust me.

You're really low on fuel... seems like that's got something to do with it. I ran mine low like that before just fine though.

Look at the wiring harness along the frame. Gm has been scrapping hundreds of new trucks because they have sat for so long mice and groundhogs have been chewing on the harness. Just north of fort wayne indiana there is thousand trucks sitting at the old auction park and there is traps every 15 feet.

We had a similar problem with my daughters new 1500 Chevrolet. It took a day to get it towed and the dealer replaced a fuse block. That was at 1500 miles and it has about 3700 now so hopefully that was it. Very frustrating and I am not a fan of the roadside assistance. The dealership should handle the towing and get it done faster.

Denny, Love your videos keep up the great work. I have the same truck and fingers crossed i have not had this issue. However, I do have a leaking oil cooler and the replacement is a month out. Been leaking oil everywhere i go not to mention all over the undercarriage. Not to pleased with GM right now. Good luck with yours!

have you done anything to the truck, including removing any connections, or any modifications to any system, fuel, electric, mechanical? It would help in transparency if you touched anything on the truck, prior to this problem?

I watched another channel they had the same issue with their Duramax fortunately they where doing a factory tour. GM Engineer comes out hooks this computer up to it looks at them tells them you are going to love this fix pull the battery terminals off for 10 min. that will allow all the capacitors to stop holding power. At 10 min they put the battery terminals back on all codes went away, truck ran fine. He said the engineering department was working on a fix.

My 17 duramax did the no start it would turn over but no start and I was the fuel pump module under the spare tire

Had it happen to me too, Battery cable was the issue. Quick fix for me at least

Open circuit of the voltage supply to that string of sensors.

Get rid of it . I getting transmission vibration big time.

I have the same truck and it did the same truck there’s a factory update that ur truck needs it will take 10 min and it’s done.

Having a similar issue with mt 22' CEL 920ee Dealer replaced nox 1 now CEL is back on. Ever heard of this? replace nox 2? Update?

My 2024 Ultimate as well did the same thing I've had a lot more issues with it. GMC denied multiple warranty claims for interior issues with Radios, and gauge cluster that would just go out while I was driving. I have 1580 miles on the truck currently and GM bought it back as of Monday July 10th. I'm going back to a Ram it was my first GMC and probably my last.

Ok i have a 24 sle hd with almost 1400 miles. Mine is a gasser. I really hope it doesn't happen to me. I hope it is an easy fix for you
