We are a couple dedicated to living tiny, and below our means to make time and space for things we love, like TRAVEL!
In 2021, We converted a van into our first home and travel mobile! For one and a half years, we traveled all throughout the United States.
In 2022 we caught the travel bug and took the van to Canada and Alaska! This is still at the top of the places we have visited!
In 2023, we decided to sell our van to downsizing even more! We packed our lives into carry on suitcases and began traveling internationally. We visited Spain, South Africa, the UK and more!
Now, we are looking for a mix of international travel, tiny home living and that incredible nomadic lifestyle! So, we are taking on a vintage airstream renovation, turning our 50 year old airstream trailer into an off grid tiny home on wheels!
So happy for you ❤️❤️. My husband and I had planned to travel after our kids were grown. Unfortunately, he passed in 2000! Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today 😁
I don't RV yet but I will need that much solar and battery so I have AC all night. I am very impressed with your solar and battery system!!!!!!! Replace the propane tanks with a Kegerator😂😂😂😂
With this system and our 12V ac we definitely could run it all night just off the batteries. Depending on how big of an RV you get, this specific AC might be too small but this power system would be enough for whatever you want to run
Nice work and good space management. When you set-up your VRM portal, you will be able to push firmware updates to the multiplus. Some of the recent updates are pretty significant in my opinion.
And thankfully I put it together so I know the ins and outs of it. We’re hoping to be able to do our first shakedown trip by the end of this month! I’m working on the kitchen galley right now
@@stevewoods8116 As someone who has worked on and built RVs for decades, that’s actually a pretty solid plan. So much easier to address problems that you will assuredly have. But I think those issues will be small, it’s a pretty solid build.
Unless you're an elephantoholic, it's just a waste of time - Kruger is *FAR* better! Kruger offers a much larger variety of game with better roads and camps.
@@Meghanandmatt I have been to Addo about 8 times (because I live in Eastern Cape), and one can only see so many elephants, zebras and warthogs. In the Kruger (3 visits only) however, there is a complete collection viewable as soon as you drive through. Addo for example have lions, but they are seldom spotted; there are no giraffes and good luck on spotting rhinos or hippos.

Yes! Because you work as fast as you talk lol. Thank you for the written words...are they subtitles if its the same language being spoken? I meant my yes, you have planned, are working hard, injenuitive (sp?), and persevering! "If you take the time it takes, it takes less time".
They’re technically called closed captions. I think subtitles are when it’s a different language being spoken vs. written. But we’re getting it done! Thanks for believing in us 🤙🏼
I disagree with National Geographic and even a few local South African travel guides that say the Garden Route starts in Mossel Bay - been living in Port Elizabeth for 54 years and done the Garden Route so many times - ignore the guides: The Garden Route is the entire trip from PE to Cape Town - all 500 miles of it. Anything less and you WILL miss out. It is easily worth a 2 week / 14 day adventure.
We did the whole route from Cape Town to Gqeberha and ended in Addo Elephant National Park. It was absolutely epic. Then we took the northern route back to Cape Town going through wine country. For the sake of the video we broke the trip up into different sections but absolutely would recommend doing the whole route as you described
@@Meghanandmatt it’s a gutted but still wired 1999 Safari 25, that was sitting for a year before I bought it. Still in RU-vid U/cleaning phase, but frame is already fixed and painted!
Right now our current spend is $32,194 but that includes many things that haven’t been installed yet like our tiny wood stove, fridge, sink, electrical system, etc. That price also includes the cost of the airstream which was 9,000. Our overall budget is $35k so with just the build materials (paint, wood, screws, etc) left I think we’ll be able to hit that goal.
