The story is known as The Lucy Myth. About the only truth in it is that Lucy owned the studio and listened to the people who said to do the show, rather than to those who said not to. She was desperate for shows other than her own for the studio to produce, which is why they did both Trek and Mission Impossible.
Nassa was founded by usa but after ww2 americans recruted nazis scientist to make rocket like warner van Braun so without him they could never go to the moon
My girlfriend's parents both worked for Walt Disney and were there for Disneyland's opening day. He was an architect who designed most of the structures associated with the waiting lines for the rides, and she was an accountant in the office. They told me that on the actual opening day that they were unprepared for the amount of cash that came in. For the first few days they had to use helicopters to transfer the cash to the banks. When my girlfriend's parents passed away they left a huge mansion in Pasadena full of Disney memorabilia. The house still remains as basically a museum warehouse full of perfectly preserved priceless Disney artifacts. The couple's heirs have no interest in the contents of the mansion which has remained unoccupied for years. When I last toured the three story home there is no sign of anyone visiting the top two floors in many years. The many rooms contain large crates and other containers covered with sheets. The sheets, floors, and everything else are topped by an undisturbed layer of dust that is incredibly thick. I contacted a world famous auction company about coordinating a sale to them of the items that would make the Smithsonian seem rather boring. They were willing to provide a contract to me, but I am dying of cancer now and I don't care about making money anymore. If someone knew what was in that house they could almost just walk into it and become a millionaire with emptying the first room.
I rode the Rocket Rods back in 1999. I remember waiting in line for a long time for that ride. I also remember it broke down a lot while we waited in line. I went back to Disneyland in 2022 and the track for the Rocket Rods was still there.

Von Braun wanted to go to the moon, not have his rockets loaded with bombs. Hitler had no mercy on anyone that disobeyed him. Never judge man until u walk a mile in his boots, and he became a proud American.
Vivian Vance:"I really don't think a spin off would work with Lucy and Desi." Also she hated Bill Frawley. You notice on the show that despite all the kaos, that Lucy and Ricky always gave the impression that they liked one another. Ethel and Fred gave no indication they liked each other! Vivian Vance was particularly upset when fans assumed that-because Lucy and Desi were a married couple in reality, that she and Bill Frawley were a married couple in reality also!
Desi was definitely WRONG about the hour-long "I Love Lucy" episodes! They were far weaker than the half-hour episodes! I think most viewers and critics would agree with this. Part of their weakness sprung from much less screen time for Fred and Ethel.
I wonder if “The Mertzes” became a show, if it would have been successful. “I Love Lucy” was by far the greatest sitcom of all time but I am curious to know if it was thought to be at the time. Regardless, spin-off shows are rarely successful. The shows that I’m aware of that had spinoffs, only lasted a season and the ratings plummeted. Hard to say what would have happened with a spinoff to Lucy but I do wish they would have tried. Fred and Ethel were my favorites. But it was the four of them that made the show. Just doing a show with the Mertzs would probably not have been enough.
Jesus help us all .. Wow I just have to laugh at how they say that Von Braun teamed up with Walt Disney to "spike american interest in space travel" bs thats so ridiculous and far from the thruth .. it was to begin the indoctrination of the world after they figured out whats above us and whats at Antarctica.. his end game is an Alien invasion dont let them fool you its all smoke and mirrors .. theres no space like they want us desperately to believe but rather beings from outside the ice wall .. what ever it is you believe just dont trust nasa
if we ever get time travel, I’d just love to see this event unfold. Not for the gore, but to actually see what happened. Information on it is so scattered..
I understand the apprehension and people being miffed having a nazi working for the US government after WWII. All the bad background aside, The Government was fortunate to snag him up instead of the Russians getting him. This guy was probably one of the smartest people ever put on this planet. His knowledge got us into space and to the moon.
I thing they should bring it back people mover back becuse there is not still ride to still down at the park and also you can see great reviews of the park ………………………. It’s one of my favorite ride …………. All the rides they don’t have anymore there are my favorite rides I love them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Five Stars. My late father was a major in the army. Day after Christmas 1978, our family was invited by a military member. The meal was outstanding. It rivalled the officers mess. We dressed up. There were many courses. Live piano. Club 33! Thank you.
I think it would’ve been interesting to see a show centered around the Mertzes, since they were comical as well. But if Bill Frawley and Vivian Vance didn’t get along, maybe it was got the best that it didn’t come to fruition. Despite their own issues, Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball were the force that kept them being able to work together.
But, nevertheless...one question, from the nonconformistic, anti nazi and feminst dude from oversea: why do I have to youtube and google content about Wernher von Braun and Walt Disney and dont find out anything about "Man in Space", "Man on the Moon" and "Mars and Boyond" on DisneyChannel+ even if I pay for it? Not so proud of your 50ies movies, Disney?
I'm austrian and both of my grandfathers were part of the Wehrmacht in WWII. I dont want to rehabilitade them for being indoctrined when they were kids in their 20ies but i didnt know less about those three movies Wernher von Braun did with Walt Disney until i've seen an episode of Ancient Aliens a few years ago. We never talked much in our family about the nazi regime, to be honest. It was all dig down in their frozen hearts because of fear, loss and shame. From my point of view, its always easy to say 80 years later, that we would have been part of the resistance...but I dont think so. I love my country and the germans, who has a very solid heritage nowadays...the TV programm is full of episodes why things happened that way and why it was wrong. I mean, look over to the italians...there it's still possible to remember Benito Mussoulinis birthday openly on the streets. In austria you would go to prison because of nazi reanactment. One last thing: I guess Wernher von Braun was a scientist in first place...he new he stoud on the wrong side of history but he was realist enough to know that the nazis would have killed him if he wouldnt have worked for them. I guess one of the reasons aside his knowledge why the armies took him, was that he told them that he didnt have a chance to stay alive. Nowadays, the idiots say that you always have a chance. But who am I to say so?
I rode both the People Mover & the Rocket Rods. The People Mover was nice & relaxing but the Rocket Rods were much more exciting & it was really cool seeing them zoom all over Tomorrowland. It's sad to see that track still empty over two decades later. I really hope Disney finally installs a new ride on that track the next time Tomorrowland gets redesigned.
Hello, I lived there about 3 miles away, in Garden Grove, CA, and was privileged to meet Mr. Disney, He was wonderful and so was our beautiful Heavenly Disneyland. I was 6 years old when I met Mr. Disney. He gave my family a private tour through Mr. Lincoln Grand Open. I will sincerely regard him and all of his Genesis. There will never be another Walt Disney. Exactly... space travel was invented by science fiction and pushed by popular media to the people. This stuff all became "real" so fast, remember the Nazis were experimenting heavily with mind control and many of them moved into the intelligence organizations as well.
