Thank you for this video . I gave you a thumbs 👍 up . Every video I've seen on uTube ....NEVER showed how to actually take out the regulator, they would show the videos leading up to the removal and they'll say , I'll remove the regulator and I'll be back and they would stop the video and then show the regulator installed but wouldn't never film the removal or the installation. They surely wouldn't be successful in the filming industry for sure .
This may have been the best DYI video of any kind I’ve ever seen. I had my iPad in the footwell and did the full install in about 45 minutes. Getting the wires out was the bitch; my thumb is still sore from pushing on the Allen key! Great video and so far a great product. Thanks!
This is an excellent video. I rebuilt both of my 2001 Z06 motors with your step-by-step directions. I greatly appreciate your video which made my repairs a snap. 😀
I wouldn't image it would take much more than 30-45 minutes. It isn't difficult. I just never timed it. I'm using doing multiple things at once or recording stuff as I do it.
You are a hero. Thank you for posting this. It is not necessary to pry away the wiring harness. The bracket that the harness attaches to can be removed from the front bumper assembly with just a couple of 7mm bolts.
i have read online that a lot of people say that you need to have stainless sleeves installed in the cylinders for o-ring type seals. No one can actually tell me why and I can't see why it would be necesssary if the orignal cylinders are in good condition, not pitted, scord etc. What are your thoughts?
Thank you for the informative video. Did I miss removal of the A pillar covers? I was wondering what is involved with the removal and if you covered that in any of the videos? Thank you.
Hey there!! I have a 88 convertible and also a 1969couse 350/350 4spd. I know this video is 6 years old, but i wanted to THANK YOU for mentioning the orifice tube and a good visual to get the orientation. I am ini the middle of converting the 88 to r134and was under the shed after dark and i grabbed the orifice and snatched it out with a good pair of needle nose pliers, but it fell out of my pliers and i as unable to determine the direction. Been looking since since yesterday and even corvette forums, no one mentioned the orifice. again THANK you for helping out!!!
The parking break isnt a poor design. Its specifically designed that way so you can enter and exit the car without the parking break up and in your way.
I was interested in purchasing a rebuild kit for my 77 Vette. it’s been some time since you did your video, do your rebuild kits now come with O-ring instead of the umbrella seals? If they do, what’s been your experience with those verses the older umbrella seals?
Keep it stock as it was designed. The only problem is the Cali p er bore must be honed if there is no rust or scoring. If ust or scoring you need a professional to sleeve with stainless
Help my window is stuck down the motor doesn't work I can't disconnect the window from the regulator to pull it up ,I have a 1984 c4 Corvette,What do I do now😢 , From GalaxyMJ
Appreciate you taking the time for this video. I am repainting the rear end of my 90 zr1. I got halfway through removal before I saw this video. I'm going to use your tips on the reassembly. Thank you!
Thank you for your video on the 77 bumper cover. You know what your talking about. Most of the. Videos on here the guys don't know there ass from a whole in the ground. What's your ebay name so I can look you up. Thanks again. Bob
Just want to add… the bolt on the rear of the compressor was really difficult for me to access and break. Even with a stubby I couldn’t get enough torque on it. I went under the car, rear approach. If you follow the exhaust manifold up, the bolt is looking right at you. Was able to get it easily with a long extension.
