@@camgalloway691 thanks for checking it out. I appreciate it. Here’s a new video of apocalypse. Now you might like.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CucoxGxtNA8.htmlsi=h8g03zynuN0P0DhH
Thanks fpr taking time to watch this video. If you liked it, I would appreciate if you'd give it a thumbs up to help the algorithm and me to continue producing my best work here on RU-vid. God Bless.
Wonderful theological interpretation of this film. Have you ever wondered if Ringo and Honeybunny leave the life of crime permanently after they receive Grace through the act of mercy from Jules? Or, in due time, do they backslide and meet the same fate as Vincent?
Good question. I would like to believe that they left the life as Jules did since Jules spared his life when he deserved to die as Butch spared Wallace's life and as Jules and Vincent were given another chance after being shot at multiple times. It wouldn't make sense to me that Ringo and Honeybunny would continue their petty crimes after getting out of a very tense situation. Thanks for the question.
I've watched Oppenheimer a few times now and didn't pick up on any of the things you went through in this video, I'm going to go back and watch it again with this video in mind, I hadn't thought it a very good film previously but now I think I finally see what It was about. Thank you for all your great work, channels like yours help me to see things in films I couldn't by myself and therefore understand , appreciate and enjoy them all the more, I'm grateful that you take the time to do this we are very fortunate to have people like you on RU-vid who provide us with such great ideas and food for thought. Thank you.😃👍
I haven't watched Oppenheimer myself. Your film analysis is the best critique on Christopher Nolan's biopic. I hope you will do a film review of Zack Snyder's "Watchmen" and the TV series which aired on HBO back in 2019. As always, you're the best. Godspeed!
@@benten7560 first of all, I really really appreciate your support. It means everything. As far as Dave Gibbons‘s and Alan Moore’s masterpiece and Zack Snyder‘s interpretation that is among my favorite ever and I do plan on doing it. It will probably be more of a challenge than Oppenheimer. I love that movie. I did not see the TV series so I don’t know, anything about it but based on your recommendation, I will have to check it out, but I love that movie and the graphic novel. Do you know that they also made a comic book motion, animation of the watchmen
@@godfatherofcinema Yes, I watched the motion comic that included the Black Freighter storyline from the graphic novel. I also can’t wait to watch the new animated version of Watchmen on HBO Max. You will love the TV version of Watchmen written by David Lindeloff. Again, thank you for your great analysis on films and Godspeed to you sir.
Much appreciated. I've seen the blu ray of the new animated version at Target. Let me know how it is on HBO max. If it's tight i'd rather buy it on blu ray. I know, I'm an old school physical media guy.
Great video, I haven't seen the film but I love to see your take and figured I would get more from your video so I watched it without context. Nice analysis
Much appreciation, Winston. I didn't like the movie when I first saw it. Over the course of time, I began to see the world hidden beneath the surface and tried to convey what I saw in this video.
Thank goodness it wasn’t Cage. Rourke was exceptional in the Wrestler. Throughout your videos you interweave bible passages which seem to fit the scene you are describing. Do you think the writer/director has these bible passages in mind - or are are you good at retro fitting a passage to a scene?
Lol. Might be a little bit of both. I reference the Bible in the video because I see Randy as a metaphor of Christ in that 'he gave his blood for the world' as opposed to the stripper who refused to do so for her customers.
I just watched this film on Tubi. This came out a few years before I was born.. I'd seen it on the Movie Loft as a kid. I like this film dealing with dark psychological underpinnings.. what she does and what it brings out to people that seek someone like her. How to egocentric person can then blame his desires.. when I see a film like this I look to see if there's any analysis done to explain.. like the subtext. Great film analysis thank you... I couldn't see the contrast between her and him but it makes perfect sense. I didn't understand why she stabbed (at)him because she hesitated first.. I thought I recalled and ending where she gets strangled but I was happy that wasn't the case
This has long been one of my favorite movies… Michael Redgrave is just pure gold in this… If you’ve ever been married to or seriously involved with a narcissistic bitch of a woman… This will resonate a lot more powerfully. Even more so if you’ve ever taught or publicly spoke and were slandered, disrespected and unappreciated. Anyway, his speech at the end with his wife’s lover is worth the price of admission all by itself. Thank you for your coverage of this excellent movie.
This has been one of my top favorite movies since I saw it in 1975 on television. in fact, it is one of my top five favorite movies from the 70s… My favorite decade for movies. This is the best analysis of this film I’ve ever heard and a breath of fresh air since no one seems to understand it that I know of. Before, I always looked at it as one of those “angry young man“ stories of that time.… when young people were breaking out of the restraints of established society and seeing most of it as fake… Kind of like how The Graduate has Benjamin seeing through all of the phoniness of his upper crust parents and friends. Fantastic job, I subscribed.
