eXistenZ and THE FLY: two films in one analysis. These videos will explore the deeper philosophical meaning of David Cronenberg’s best science fiction horror films from 1999 and 1986, respectively
eXistenZ (1999) is written, produced and directed by David Cronenberg and stars Jennifer Jason Leigh as Allegra Geller, Jude Law as Ted Pikul, Ian Holm as Kiri Vinokur, Willem Dafoe as Gas and Don McKellar as Yevgeny Nourish.
THE FLY (1986) is directed by David Cronenberg, co-written by Charles Edward Pogue and David Cronenberg and based on French-German writer George Langelaan’s short story of the same name published in the June 1957 issue of Playboy magazine. The Fly stars Jeff Goldblum as Seth Brundle, Geena Davis as Veronica Quaife, and John Getz as Stathis Borans.
