It’s believed this idiom originated from Arthur Balfour’s appointment as Prime Minister immediately following his uncle, Robert (Bob) Cecil, Lord Salisbury. The idea being that as ‘Bob’ was his uncle, the position was easy for Balfour to attain; hence ‘Bob’s your uncle!’

“To touch ON” is a phrasal verb that means to briefly talk about a certain subject and a “touch OF” something (noun/ quantifier) is how you say “a small amount” of something ☺️
What about some topics about phrasal verbs... but just one o two in every episode... I know there are a lot of channels touching on that type of topics, but they talk about 20 - 100 phrasal verbs... why not just both of them, and explaining them?
Change, "but" with "however." Human mind will disregard the statement before "but" and will only focus on the part after it. Her idea is on point, however, the choice of word makes it counterproductive.
Currently, I am living in Czechia. People like to do this in winter, using a sauna (80 C) for 10 minutes and then jumping into a cold pool or tank (4 C). I did that when I was in Budapest City. It was fantastic, and the sensation was relaxing.
Hi. I just subscribed yo your channel. One thing that caught my eye. Bermuda is a British territory, isn't it? However, you speak with an American accent. That's interesting 🤔
Hi! No I said that it isn’t necessarily the “best” method because the best/ most effective method is the one that works best for you. It’s a personal preference and different for everyone 😊 that’s why I recommend trying lots of different method and deciding which ones work best for you!

Hello! I'm a brazillian trying to learn english and actually I found your channel and I have to say that is very useful. You speak very slowly that help me to understand better the language
Gemma, I like your conversations. Your English is clear, and I can follow your speech at around 70%. I am looking for different ways to improve my English listening.
I was in the same situation when I was 27 years old. I am 34 years old now. Likewise, I thought it was the end of the world when a girl who had been my friend for 3 years told me she was no longer continue with me. The feeling was overwhelming. But after a few months, I asked myself how could I be made just for that girl only after all. I started praying because I believe not in the universe like you but in God who created the universe, and gradually the feeling left me. But the girl I met after that, I met a good girl who loves and respects me many times more than the first one, who fears God. We have two children and are living together. Everything happens for a reason. You are a good-hearted girl and I wish you all the best! Sorry my English is so bad!
