Don't know if you still use the cobbler machine, but I found the best way to mount it is to bolt it to a 4x4 block, then screw the block into a 1"x 8"x18" board. The board keeps it balanced and can be clamped to a table if necessary, while the 4x4 block gives you height. Works a treat and is super stable.
"I may fail." That is something that took me a while to get used to. I learned to have fun with my kit- if the colors/weathering/etc. didn't look good, I just stared over. I am sanding everything down to base for a reskin and am stoked to try the techniques in this video!
Yeah I was making phase 1 armor. Just got 80% of the helmet made and i cant see anything. So I saw shore armor online and love it. I am 3D printing all of this myself and this video helped alot by telling me yes shore armor is more comfy for cosplay and not as common
So I have the Mandalorian Death Watch helmet and I’ve gotten to the remove face plate part around 10:04. I took out all of the screws and it’s not budging. I think the part with the longer screw in the center above the visor, the band may or may not be glued in even with all of the screws taken out. I’m afraid of pulling it too hard it breaks. Any tips or tricks to help pull it off would be appreciated.
Hi, I wish I had your workshop. I have only half a garage and makeshift hand tools and ally sheet. A lot of guesswork. This has been a brilliant set of videos, and has spurred me on. Thanks so much. Paul. How do you do your patterns?
Good work, but haidate should overlap sort of like how fish or reptile scales do. It helps prevent a blade tip from finding a gap between two plates. Also, you can make them look better by rounding each plate instead of leaving them flat.
I've had my Beskar Gam for a decade and NEVER joined the MMCC. And my shit is 100% approvable. But the MMCC's rules are noting less than frivolous and stupid. That's just my opinion.
This is just for people reading the comments: I don't know how big a deal it really is, but I've been told that PVC, when heated/burned off-gases chlorine gas and formaldehyde. If you care about your lung health, might be worth it to wear a fume mask.
Hey man I think you're one of the biggest and greatest Star wars fanatics of all time,I appreciate all the hard work and everything you do. God bless you and your family man ,truly, I would love to have you do a helmet one of these days. I wish 😊. 100% the most helpful guy online, LOL, just want to say thanks again, have a blessed day...
A CRL is a "Costume Requirement List" for joining the Mandalorian Mercs. It's a list of requirements your armor must me to be considered for application/membership to the mercs. The Mandalorian Mercs are a charity organization that sends their members to charity events, called "troops".

Fett Armory stole my money and now they don’t even have a site anymore. I waited longer than 6 months thinking they were making it so I couldn’t get the PayPal refund:(
