Good work, but haidate should overlap sort of like how fish or reptile scales do. It helps prevent a blade tip from finding a gap between two plates. Also, you can make them look better by rounding each plate instead of leaving them flat.
Just watched Thor: Love & Thunder, and couldn't help but think the helmets they wore in that movie would be a perfect project for you. Chest pieces too I guess.
