How have these held up over the last 2 years? Specifically wondering about the top edge where it's just the 2" pavers, has there been any cracking? I am doing something similar and wondering how it will hold up. Thanks for all the info you provided in this video!
Unfortunately concrete will kill most plants. You'll have to constantly feed them and spray them with liquid Iron. Maybe find some old iron stakes to add to the soul, lots of them.
Oh I love this!! Just discovered your channel and I’ve been binge watching your videos. I’ve been thinking of building a work bench and this seems like it would be the best way to go so I’m definitely going to give this a go!! Quick question, how did you go about what height for the shelf for the miter saw so the fence was level with the other two bench tops?
You basically have to just measure the distance between the bottom of the mitre saw to the top of the saw (where the wood sits) and that tells you how far down the saw has to be!
I've been wanting to do this so great to see it on your side of the house too! Do you guys have a shed in the backyard for all your garden/outdoor stuff?
Glue wont hold that up i think. Maybe a kind of belt support could work. Like on a barrel. Either on the outside or some kind of cage inside. But i think changing humidity and growth inside might cause cracking or cause the glue to fail. Also i heard from my grandmother that these things drain water like crazy. I think i will still build one for a rounded corner wall with some shaded herbs and a watering system
Great job! If you want to transplant the oleander sooner is better than later-they have a strong and deep root system. Plus oleanders get huge if they don’t get any freeze damage. But I love them for their hardiness and those beautiful blooms. (and as previously stated they are poisonous)
This is so helpful, thank you! I’ve been dreaming up ways to turn IKEA products into something like this and your video was the final push I needed and will be going back to throughout my process!! So good thanks!
Live and learn! Barkeep's, Cillit Bang etc will dull polished stone. I nearly wrecked a marble shower interior with it. I recommend a mild soap and water for beautiful marble. You did well in the end, though. Good tip.
It looks like you didnt cover your brick wall. How did you get the concrete countertop cleaned up by the brick wall after it dried? It looks like the concrete got all over the brick and not a smooth line. My outdoor concrete counter was installed by professionals against a retaining wall and they forgot to tape up the wall and got concrete on the wall too. It looks sloppy and I tried to remove some of it with concrete dissolver.
