p.t. wood planters, mine lasted about 7 years before deteriorating, even after I added a corrugated pvc barrier between the soil and wood, so I'm all for the cmu block solution you show. Only thing is the more "permanence" of this, but really, cmu block can be taken apart easily, though with lots of sweat and back muscles, and yes, cmu block is twice what you quoted in the video, but come on, an extra $150? certainly won't break the bank for a something that will last your life time. Just ignore the haters. Thanks!
Looks good! All porches have a sloop so the water/ rain dose not come into the house or to the house connection it avoids rotting of wood or sinking of cement slab. Thank you for an awesome how to alternative
Than you I like this , I have extra blocks from a patio I built last year that I took up. Grass here in Florida doesn't play. I dry poured my whole area. Now I have a lot of 4x8x16 blocks to use. Part are going into a outdoor fire place. Good Job.
Definitely worth the money. You can sit on your deck and pull the occasional weed while sipping some wine. I have decorative cinder block walls and im thinking of adding the decorative top blocks and planting flocks and other plants and herbs that can trail down the 10ft high wall. Love it.
